surely someone who eagerly looks forward to the death of billions of people (including babies and children) is not emotionally healthy?.

yet, that is the key belief "happily" anticipated by witnesses.... food for thought?.

I wonder why the all-powerful-JW-god has to unleash so much destruction and suffering to "clean" the earth. Can't he just say the word and instantly puff! everybody disappears but the JWs of course in a painless way?

i was just thinking about how the wts has been spouting off for years that satan and his demons were cast down to the vicinity of the earth in 1914, but really, when you think about it, what was the difference before 1914 or after 1914?.

its not like satan and his demons did not have access to the earth.

In order to make the best use of dedicated funds and assist with other theocratic directives, the Governing Body recently adjusted the project completion date from December 31, 2016 to September 1, 2016.

Aha! so, the completion by 4 months earlier is NOT because they worked fast and everything went so good, they are actually cutting it short because of funds.

PS: I have heard comments already from some brothers saying that they will finish earlier because of some kind of divine approval.

Watchtower Paralells Mormonism

after leaving the watchtower i had a 2 year lapse where i was studying mormonism.

not because i believed it, but because my girlfriend at the time was one.

i took the time to attend ward meetings with her, attend after church activities, join my in-laws for "family home evening" i was pretty much immersed in the culture.
