i told her that the jw s talked with me several years ago and told me christ came invisibly into power in 1914. itold her i did not believe this then but now i do!

I said isn't it wonderful the advancements Christ has ushered in with his reign. Such as being able to travel to different parts of the globe in a matter of hrs, man has gone to the moon, we now have cures for the biblical disease of lepersy,food is abundant. Then I said are not Christs followers truly blessed?
Her reply was that next he's going to get rid of wickedness. I ask what she ment as it's pretty good where I live.
At this point I think she smelled a rat. She mentioned child abuse and changed her words. But she had to leave.
She'll remember the conversation for a while and maby think twice when they change 1914 date.

Update: Last Nights Meeting

my wife and i were both raised as jw, we were both baptized when were fifteen years old.

Get those kids the best education posible. At an institution where they can build life long freindships. I was denied this as I have no peer freinds. I graduated at 40 B.S. everyone in my classes were not my peers.
Provide for their education and presure the wife or X to help in this regard.
Or will you let your offspring wander this world ill equiped?

Anybody attend their Senior Prom as a JW? Wha' happen?

I didn't have one of my own. As a higher education wasn't encouraged so I didn't finish HS.
My GF was 4-1/2 years younger than me. I was her date for her prom. Knew all her freinds had a great time.
It was held at an Elk's Club = Bar . I was 21
A group of us also hung out by the pool and partook of the local herb.
I wish I would've tried to get more out of school I was to indocternated though.
