New article on methods of False Reasoning in the Watchtower

i have just posted a new article on methods of false reasoning in the watchtower at http://www.jwfacts.com/index_files/rhetorical-fallacy.htm.

this discusses rhetorical fallacy, methods such as red herrings, straw man arguments, generalisations etc.. i would welcome any comments or proof reading.

i would particularly like to know of any additional examples that i may have missed.. .

christians recognize "jesus",as the mediator between god and man.....jehovah`s witness`s recognize the "watchtower bible and tract society",as the mediator between god and man.....jesus is out of a job!

Yadda - "Whether the WTS admits it or not, technically only the 144,000 can be, based on their own theology." .....Just to expand on that a bit ..... JWs MIGHT be Christians - IF you can be a Christian and not be born again, IF you can be a Christian without having the testimony of the Holy Spirit ..... IF you can be a Christian and not be a child of God ..... If you can be a child of God and not be a member of the Body of Christ ..... IF you can be a Christian and not be a branch of the True Vine ... I think you get the point ...

20 years ago, leonard and marjorie chretien published their book witnesses of jehovah to accompany the movie by the same name that they had produced.

cabasilas, thank you for posting it. We showed the video last year at an educational seminar we helped out with in Australia. I had not watched it for years. Even though it's a bit dated, it was still very effective.

Hubby's been sent an invite to see the elders at the hall - my fault!

i posted the other day about being called on when i'm d'ad and that the elder refused to leave when i asked as i am not the head of the house!

so i wrote a letter saying what had happened and not to call again or i'd seek further action, i also got hubby (as head of the house lol) to sign it and sent a copy to the main branch as well.. we got a very polite reply this week saying that of course they'd 'respect' my wishes but wish to ascertain if hubby still wants to be a jw and have sent him an 'invitation' to join them one night next week!otherwise he can send in a d'a letter if he wishes!.

so far he's done nothing about it though i have talked him out of going, but if he doesn't send the letter or turn up will they automatically take that as him d'aing himself?just wondering if any ex elders here know as i think i ought to warn him in advance.

My wife makes it a few times a year. She uses bottom round roast and slices it when it is still partially frozen. It cuts easier and thinner that way.

yes i have a big metric cruiser and i stinkin love it!

but in the last two years of growth, which included my bike....i have come to appreciate that hd is a heck of family!

there is some very serious camaraderie among harley davidson owners.

"I do love my bike....but in my heart I know I am getting a Road King soon................oompa" This is my third season on my Road King (1998, Classic, Stage II) and I love it. I also have my 94 Gold Wing GL1500. And my wife has a Honda 450 Rebel and a Yamaha 750 Virago. Yeah, we got a bit carried away. :) We've had the Gold Wing since 2000 and put 76k miles on it. I've put about 14k on the Road King in 2.5 seasons. When you get your Road King, be sure to get with your local Harley Owner's Group (HOG) chapter. Our's is out of Seacoast Harley in North Hampton NH. Membership is about 500 people and about 150 show up for the monthly "business" meeting at the Red Hook Brewery. HOG offers a lot of good rides, great training and good friends. My wife rides her Yamaha to HOG and Ladies of Harley meetings and no one give her any grief about it.
