I have a conondrum that exists in the Lowell, MA. congregation. I left the Borg 12 years ago. My ex who is still a slave to the organization divorced me 10 years ago. She got the divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences. Now I was led to believe that a person can only divorce thier mate in the Witnesses on the grounds of adultery. I was a JW for 40 years being born and raised in the cult. I went to the elders about this issue and they just shrugged their shoulders and didn't answer me. Typical behavior when they know they have no answer. The only thing I got from these clowns was ,"It was her decision." She remained in good standing and no actions where taken against her. After 2 years I met someone else and started dating. I certainly wasn't going back to the hell I had with my first wife. Now I was accused of adultery (you go figure this one out) and she is scripturally free to remarry. Then when I remarried, my ex calls me and tells me that I have comitted adultery and she is free to remarry. Let me make something clear, I really don't give a tinkers damn about the Witnesses or their rules or edicts but I find this lie and the hypocrisy to be a bit much. The message it sends to my younger children is wrong. My older ones who have left see the hypocrisy and have told their mother such. I feel that my wife is guilty and gets away with it all just because she remains a good dooby and kisses the asses of the clown princes among men. What say you as to this issue. Marco Polo

The Unfinnished Mystery & 2005 My View
by docpalo ini had an epiphany about the date 2005. one of the holy men of the governing body was sitting on the throne (loo, potty, crapper) after consuming too much prune juice.
his movement looked like the numbers 2005. he called all the other holy men together and they agreed.
the then encased this movement in plastic making a a holy relic.thus we get the expression holy crap!

I'd recalculate it but the member of the Governing Body presently has constipation and my calculator is burned out. Can you get me a deal on a calculator? I will try and deliver more potent prune juice to this poor fellow. Hey, maybe an abacus would do the trick, but it would have to be a ancient Sumerian one from the dynasty of King Herod and kept by nuetered and cloistered monks who never read anything but the Latin translation of the NWT and the Golden Age. Do you think it can be done. The future of the Organization depends on it! Peace.

Is Lowell, Mass. close enough? I left 12 years ago. Never was a pioneer or anything that grand. Too busy feeding six kids. But dad was Bethelite 13 years and mom a coleporter before they had pioneers. I have photos of her with the Rutherford sound trucks they used to ride around in. I went to the Lowell Highlands cong when i moved up here from the Bronx 22 years ago. I'll talk to you even if you are a Red Sox fan. ha ha. Marco Polo [email protected]

by nicolaou ini learned tonight that the rugby, warwickshire kingdom hall has been attacked with some type of incendiary.. not sure how extensive the damage is but sufficient enough so that all meetings there are suspended.

Hello again, I was not trying to raionalize arson. I was trying to point out that the Witnesses can frustrate people. I even said in the beginning of my post that I didn't agree with the act. But some of you missed the point. I was thinking outside the box. And yes I do belive in a God. Not the phony Jehovah the Witnesses have fabricated but a true loving and principled God.

Don't you people get it? You generate so much hatred at yourselves by you self righteous, elitist and egoistic attitudes that you would push some person to do this. I am not sympathizing with this type of behavior but I am thinking outside the box something you Witnesses rarely do. BTW, I was a JW for 40 years so I am a wee bit familiar with my topic of discussion. Since you look at the world myopicly and treat outsiders with disdain and treat former members with even more cruel disdain you can greatly frustrate a person. I know of what I speak. My ex wife is still a faithful slave to the Society and she is fully supporting my 19 year old sons plans to marry a 26 year old sister in her congregation. They have idealistic dreams of pioneering together, yada yada yada. My 19 year old has no marketable job skills other than the ability to drive a truck. The bride to be works at a half way house for battered woman as a case intake worker.I am totally against the marriage. I want the BOY to wait awhile. I have even called the one elder who will speak to me and he is unwilling to intervene since it a Witness marriage , yada yada yada. So you can see why my frustration level is high. I have stopped putting up with the moronic treatment by the idiots who make the mistake of putting on a show of shunning me in public. I now call them on it and embarrass them by asking them out loud why they are staring at me and what their problem is. Yes, you mind controlled people can frustrate and push someone to rash acts because of your behaviors. Or as one person posted, maybe the fire was a publicity stunt. I would not be surprised.

Gee thanks for saying they make as much sense as the Governing Bodys math. I burnt out my calculator doing this. I didn't get to see the holy relic though. They have it under guard and lock and key. In fact the Bethelites are instructed keep me in a 3 block radius away from Headquarters. Since I am labeled apostate, demonized and insane by my old congregation I am easy to spot. Something to do with horns and cloven hoof. I don't get it though I am a likeable guy and have an interest in setting the records straight for truths sake. Oh , did I say a dirty word, truth?

His movement looked like the numbers 2005. He called all the other holy men together and they agreed. To explain the mathematics of this new revelation they multiplied the number of BMs this member had by the number of beers Joe Rutherford consumed during his rule, square rooted it my 607, the subtracted this from 1914.Then they coorelated the number of backcalls in 1975 by the number of people who really understood the Babylon Great book and added it to the total coming up with 2005 give or take a generation that is soon or iminent. Do you get it? As Robin would say to Batman, "Holy Dingleberries!" I hope my explanation is helpful and puts your mind at ease.

On being apostate
by docpalo ini just read the posting about the definition of apostate.
the new oxford american dictionary defines the word as: a person who renounces a religious or political belief or principal.
that is it period.

I just read the posting about the definition of apostate. The new Oxford American Dictionary defines the word as: A person who renounces a religious or political belief or principal. That is it period. The Witness definition is so wide and broad it has become a joke to me. When I DAed myself and I went public about the sexual abuse I went through as a child, I was Coronated with three titles by the Lowell, MA. congregation. They were, Apostate, Demonized and Insane. Bet most of you didn't get all three did ya? So here I am an insane ex dub who deals with demonic apostasy all because I got fed up with the total absurdity of the Witnesses. I unfourtunately was born and raised into the Borg, my daddy was a Bethelite for 13 years during the booze soaked years of Judge(??) Rutherford and Ma was a coleporter. I do admit I wqas drinking heavy in my last years as a JW but then I know of a lot of closet drinkers in the Borg. But I've been sober 8 1/2 years without the help of any Awake magazines or those princes among men. But back to my titles. I asked my ex-wife who is a Witness Queen why I am labeled an apostate. She muttered something about my being demonized and hung up. So I called one elder who still spoke to me and he hemmed and hawed and didn't give me answer. So I guess I am apostate for speaking against the so called Holy Men of the Watchtower and their draconian policies. But the demonized part still eludes me. As far as the insanity goes, there is no such thing. I know, I am a psych major in college. Insanity is only a legal term used in the courts. I may be crazy but i'm happy that way and it keeps those JW drones from knocking at my door. Peace,

Kat, I read your story and wasn't bored or put to sleep, rather I was angered and saddened to read yet another story of a persons life being ruined by this soulles and Godless organization. I too am a victim of sexual abuse. When I was 10/11 years old I was raped repeatedly at Bethel and my parents house by Bethelites. I was then terrorized into silence. My parents did translation work for the Society in the Finnish language. My father was also a Bethelite for 13 years. I lived a life thinking it was MY SIN. My parents died never knowing. I turned to alcohol for solace. I disassociated myself from the LIE 12 years ago. But I have been sober 8 1/2 years, but I lost a marriage of 21 years, a home a business, and a family. This was a small price to pay for my sanity and sobriety. When I went public about the rapes I was called apostate, demonized and insane. Oh the love the princes among men showed. Kat, you are not alone, there are thousands like you. It may help if you contact two people. First is Bill Bowen at [email protected] and Randy Watters at [email protected] these two people have helped me and countless others see the light and come to love themselves again. Do not despair, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I made it and you can too. Marco Polo

What do you get when you cross a Jw and a Unitarian? Someone who knocks at your door and doesn't know why. Scared and drunk, I think that happened to two elders wives in my old cong here in Lowell, Ma.
