  i have never been in jehovas withness.

  but the hatred, they put on your heads, are absolutely not fair, actuly, you only think like the rest of us out side, jehovas witness.

  Paige this sounds horrible. I hope you do not give up on your mother. And that you continue to try and see her. Hopefully Jehovah will soften her heart. God does not want to break families up. Maybe if you just try to let her know that you are not trying to stop her from serving God and that you just want to be apart of her life, she will relent. I know that part will be hard. But you need you mother and once you are back talking with her you can subtly point out the inconsistencies in the teachings. Be subtle though or you will just run her away from you again. I almost cried when I read this. I pray to God that this works out!

  i still don't believe in hellfire.

  i think astrology and palm reading is ridiculous.

  I don't believe in hell either, most of the family principals ie... deep respect for husband, love wife as own body. I kinda believe in some astrology. I'm supposedly a Gemini and people swear I have a split personality. lol

  i often wonder if my old witness friends from my past are still in the 'truth' (god i hope not)?

  i know this site is pretty popular amongst ex-witnesses.

  and since most of us have 'fake names'...we could be talking to someone that we already know.

  I met the boxer Authro Gotti (pls exc. the spl) at a boxing match at madison square garden, while watching Trindad fight. He was really nice. Even got a picture of him. To bad he kinda sucks at the moment.

  I'd like to introduce myself

  i'm "alpheta".

  i've been reading here for the past few weeks, but have visited from time to time over several years.. short history, i started studying in 1993, was baptised in 1996, and succinctly and with much planning disassociated myself in october, 2003.. i don't believe i have any lasting psychological damage or issues, but i was curious about the state of the wtbts (or whatever they go by these days), and i found your site and a lot of information that, i have to say, i found shocking at first like - oh my goddess, they really did that?

  - kind of thing.. anyway, nice to have read your posts and i really enjoy the sense of community here.

  blondie has repeatedly asked in her item on the wt study "where is jesus?".

  since the wtbts claims to be christian, you could reasonably expect such an organization to talk about jesus could you not?.

  for all jws, and others - start counting how often jesus is mentioned at the meetings.

  Since this is an old topic I don't know if anyone will respond... but didn't they have awhole book dedicated to Jesus, that they studied at the bookstudy? It was called the Greatest man whoever lived. Did everyone just forget that?
