  Celebrating One Full Year Of Freedom!

  i can't believe it but the first thursday of feb marked one full year of freedom for me and my children.. that thursday was the last meeting i ever attended.. we have never looked back and time has just gotten away from me because we are enjoying new experiences and trying to get used to this new life.

  i wonder what i should do to celebrate?.

  any suggestions?.

  i just received a tape of a talk given by ciro aulicino from october of last year, right after the sept. 11th tragedy.

  this guy makes every effort to sound like the 70s circuit overseer floyd kite (armageddon is right at the door!

  ), only it is worse because kite was embarrassed 25 years ago over his nonsense and has had to live it down.

  Hi all,
  I just received a tape of a talk given by Ciro Aulicino from October of last year, right after the Sept. 11th tragedy. This guy makes every effort to sound like the 70s circuit overseer Floyd Kite (Armageddon is right at the door! etc.), only it is WORSE because Kite was embarrassed 25 years ago over his nonsense and has had to live it down. I guess Ciro figures that being at Bethel he will never face embarassment for his words.

  But the more amazing thing about the lecture is that Ciro was the one who, under authority of Lloyd Barry of the Governing Body, apparently went down and signed up with the United Nations as a NGO secretly in 1991! Virtually the entire organization knew nothing about this, and few still do. Ciro blasts the U.N. in this talk as if there was nothing hypocritical whatsoever in his stance. Check it out:

  He also discusses his view of the Sept. 11th tragedy, witnessing to the firefighters and police, and "miracles" that happened along the way. He mentions 7 elders were elected from a circuit to go to ground zero to comfort the firemen, and how they were let in and the clergy weren't for a while. He says about the tragedy, "We are doing everything we can." He says 50 victims were housed at Bethel temporarily after the tragedy. He says "we must obey the organization." He reminds the listeners that "We're not going to read that apostate garbage." And he finishes in prayer warning the listeners about their dress codes! If any of you want to hear Ciro, check it out! It is 65 minutes long, but I separated it into three segments on Real Audio to make it more listenable. All you need is a 28k modem and the free Real Audio player, which you can get from www.real.com (look around for the free version, it's there).

  If anyone is able to type a transcript of this message, please let me know at [email protected], as this would be even more helpful in showing others what kind of persons run this organization. It would be good to tell Witnesses wherre they can listen to the talk, too. It is "New Light," especially his speculation on the Muslims being the King of the North. Ciro is a major player at Bethel and has been for many years, so this is no rogue information.

  In the news today interrestingly enough, U.S. president Bush shows the value of using NGOs and the United Nations to get relief to others. I believe this is the real reason the Watchtower joined the U.N. as an NGO, to accomplish their financial and political moves in other countries. Bush said:

  "I'm deeply concerned about the plight of the average Palestinian, the moms and dads who are trying to raise their children, to educate their children," Bush said. "I've got $300 million in the budget to go through NGOs (non-governmental organizations) to help Palestinians be able to realize a better life."

  Hi Roybatty,
  You can sue anyone for slander if they are talking bad about you in a way that affects your rights as a citizen, as well as your economic matters, etc. That is true in any environment. For instance, Fred Hall, though hiding in anonymity, could be sued for hindering the business affairs of Free Minds, Inc. (though he has not, merely an example), and eventually his identity would become known to the court and to everyone else as the case played out. But Fred Hall could not be sued for shunning. :-))

  he is a portrait of conflict.

  he has a lot of weird, definition-avoidant neurological problems (adhd, ocd, latent tourettes syndrome.... "those" kinds of things.

  I need this to remind me of what I was a part of once, its truly surrealistic. I remember when the Service Dept. was going around asking specific people at Bethel about their hope, how they felt about the WT being the F&DS, etc. There was not a spark of Holy Spirit in the neighborhood!
