Customers to what WTS is selling

in the 1900s the wts experienced growth because they had a product people were willing to "buy".. in recent years people just aren't buying anymore.

of course there will always be some people for whom the wts fills a need.. but people's needs have changed, which is one reason the wts is not experiencing growth of new members; and current members are slowly trickling out the back door.. annually the magazines & kms repeat the same thought almost verbatim (notice this particularly with the km).

the metings have been reduced to chiding, rarely do they discuss anything of spiritual concern.

What are the WTS leaders planning?

what are the wts' long term (5+ years) and short term (up to 2 years) plans?.

the leaders know the end isn't right around the corner despite what they tell the r&f.

otherwise they would not have built patterson and purchased new presses.. the leaders are faced with mounting problems: declining statistics in developed countries, the internet, lawsuits, etc.

Fox's 24 and similarities with JWs

if you live outside the u.s. and haven't seen season 4 this post contains spoilers.. do you watch fox's 24 with kiefer sutherland?

the first two seasons were excellent; seasons 3 & 4 are still entertaining, but not quite believable.

that aside i noticed some similarities in recent shows.. the muslim immigrant parents forbid their teenage son from dating an american girl.

New OM Book replacement & Upcoming Elder School

the organized to accomplish our ministry (om book) will be replaced on sunday march 20, 2005 with a book titled organized to do jehovah's will.

this is confidential, so be sure to tell your relatives and friends that are still in!

will there be any updates to the org's procedures, or just a re-hash of old policies?

Assembly & C.O. /D.O. Elder meeting notes

i attended the 2004-2005 circuit assembly this past weekend.

the internet, online chat rooms, and jw online dating was mentioned several times both days.

during both the circuit overseer's final talk on sunday and the district overseer's final talk sunday they both spent several minutes talking about how the internet poses a serious danger to god's people.
