The atheists leave the thread, start name calling, change the subject and other neat little tricks. But they never answer the questions explaining just how complex things arise from nothing by nobody into amazingly organized, complex and purposeful things. I have done the debate thing too many times to count. I always answered every single question asked of me. Never ran away from anything. If you think atheism is some non-debunked kind of truth, you are only living in the dark. But life is more than this. Who cares if atheists believe there is no God? Good for them. "Live it up", I say; cause this is all there is according to atheist beliefs. But when post after post starts to chide those that believe differently, on a non atheist weebsite, then I think somebody needs to hear about it. And that now has been done as well. So we move on to better things hopefully. I have said my peace here. Agree or disagree, at least I took the time to say something worth speaking about IMO. And, as you can see, I am not alone. More respecty and tolerance is what's being requested. Nothing more.

Just another meeting - the lack of "occasion" and "grief" at JW funeral
by truthseeker ini recently attended the witness funeral of a sister who lost her mother.
she lived to a good age.. most of the congregation were there.. if the truth be told, it was one of the most disrespectful funerals i have ever been too.
no one did anything wrong, but everyone was happy - a little too happy.. it was just another meeting to the dubs who attended.

I've given two funeral discourses while a JW. Both individuals had mostly worldly friends and relatives. Definitely more non-witnesses were at both funerals than Witnesses. In both cases, I really talked about (((the person))) extensively and positively. I tried to make it more personal while maintaining a good level of respect for the occasion. And then more or less tying in a few of the JW beliefs (mandatory if I was to remain a JW) while talking about how the deceased would appreciate such promises because of their love for gardening or whatever else they personally were into.
The JW's truly enjoyed the way it was done. It's not so much that the JW's are this shallow and legalistic minded as much as FOLLOWING THE RULES FROM BROOKLYN. -

There is no need to debate this endlessly. Nobody can force anybody to do anything differently aside from the owner of this site. If he is happy with the current spirit in the air, then that is that.
All others can do is to accept what it is and work around the offensive posts, jump in for debate after debate, or leave altogether.
I have done all three at times so far.
Depends on the mood and circumstances I guess... -
