Another Watchtower Mindset?
It amazes me how Jehovah's Witnesses think. However, at the
same time it terrifies me to think that I thought in the same way.The Stormy Conversation
A conversation with a Witness about the United Nations and the
Watchtower Society produced a fire-breathing episode in which
the witness protested there was nothing wrong with the Watch-
tower Society needing a “library” card from the United Nations.
She justified her position because "the Watchtower is just
trying to confirm bible prophecy.”However, when I brought it to her attention the Watchtower
associated with the United Nations her reaction was “you
can’t trust the United Nations because they are led by
wicked men.”In other words, it is okay to use their library facilities and other
information sources but you cannot believe anything they have
to say? —Give me a break!Does anyone have any similar experiences to this type
of contradicting doublethink mentality?Respectfully,

Inspirational Stories and Experiences
We have all had those days in which we have felt like we had a
black cloud hanging over our head, like a hangman's noose. De-
pression, frustration, and sadness through life's experiences can
take a harmful toll on a person.
However, on the other side of the coin, life does carry many
positive hopes and dreams in the form of inspirational stories
and experiences.Finding inspirational stories
Stories that have the "underdog" overcoming some obstacles
are some of the stories that I find personally fascinating. Crisis
of Conscience for instance, and stories from the Nazi con-
centration camps where there is a fight for survival capture my
attention.
What inspires you in life ?If you had to name a story, personal experience or outside
experience, what would you say draws you to inspiration?Thank you for your consideration.

Bouncing Back from the Witness Mindset
It was not that long ago that some of us on this board re-
flected the thought patterns of Jehovah's Witnesses. In
other words, the brainwashing thought patterns instilled
by the Watchtower Society.Have you completely overcome that mindset?
It would be interesting to know from members on this
board if they have completely overcome that mindset
to think, feel, and act on their own.Can you give your insights on weather or not you have
completely overcome the witness mindset? In addition,
how did you accomplish it.Thank you,

Bright spots after having left the organization
Often, after having left the organization a person experiences
a host of negative emotions regarding their life in the Watch-
Tower Society. It can consist of anger, bitterness, depression, and even
hatred for what was lost. However, there could be some bright spots in a person's
life after having left the organization. What are your personal bright spots?
Personally, I am thankful that I have my life pretty
much intact. In addition, a college education and
even a former best friend who was a witness
contacting me to become friends again. What bright spots have you had in life; after
life in the Watchtower?Thank you for your response.

What about the blood issue?
Sooner or later a person has to face his or her demons
regarding certain Jehovah's Witness doctrine. The one
issue that has haunted me is whether or not the Society
has a point regarding the abstaining of blood.
(Acts 15:29)Do they have a point?
The fact of the matter is that blood does carry hepatitis
and the infamous Hiv virus that blossoms into Aids.
So the question regarding the Society's position regard-
ing the use of blood is:Could they be right regarding blood use?
What is the evidence regarding taking or abstaining
from the use of blood? Please post your reply so that we can all learn.

The Perils of Television
Looking back in retrospect to the time in which a chapter of my
life was consumed by the Watchtower Society, revealed another
Watchtower enemy—the television. What was the real motivation?
The Watchtower was always "warning" us about the perils of the
television. The dangerous time consuming programs and our
"association" regarding the television.Do you think that they wanted us to stay away from television
because they were afraid of the media?Do you think it really was for our benefit or because it was taking
time away from field service? The dangerous peril today—the internet
Today it is the internet that gets most of the Society's attention.
During your time in the organization what seemed to attract the
Society's negative attention? Please post your thoughts and viewpoints.

What effect does 'Apostate Pressure' have on the bOrg?
by AK - Jeff inwill increased pressure - pickets, websites, books, letters to fellow witnesses, have a positive or negative impact on the ultimate goal most apostates have - seeing the organization eventually crumble and fall?.
my take is that more pressure is good.
it makes the 'real personality' of the organization express itself in greater oppression, more demands, greater efforts to isolate the flock from education, career, family, reality.. eventual result of oppression is rebellion.
-
The wanderer
Dear Jeff:
My thoughts regarding this matter is that the media
will help instill doubts about the organization.
The more pressure that is applied in this area
the better.
The Society has "protected" the flock against most
sources especially "apostate" sources, so most
witnesses will turn a deaf ear toward anyone
whom they consider "apostate."
If the media becomes involved toward exposing
the Watchtower Society it will leave some
individuals wondering ... and that maybe
the best alternative we could hope for.

Richard
