2 months of downers.
by LouBelle ini've had a very difficult 2 months since my uncle has died.
it is not becasue of his death, it just so happend to follow his death and that is the time line.. i've always been a strong woman, from little, i had to stand on my own two feet and not lean on anyone - and i that is how i tick.. each instance has hit me financially and has been piled high on my plate.
there have been days when i thought i should end it all and literally take my own life - if i had something quick at my disposal, i know i wouldn't be here now.

LouBelle, what a bad patch you've been through. You are a strong lady who has accomplished a lot. This will pass. Sometimes there is random good, sometimes random crazy/bad. We joke at work, "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger."
Here's to putting this crap year to bed, and a fresh start in 2012. Keep on writing! Congrats on your blog. Wish you peace and better days ahead. xx

Gosh, I would love to have lunch (rather a long Brunch) with everybody here.
After reading Para's post, that apostafest was my first and it was a blast. I am sure there were no fewer than 50 people there, and from all over. I think I came the farthest. We started I think at 2pm and I know I didn't leave until 2 or 3 am with a bunch from the same hotel. I currently remain in contact with several from that fest. All in all, I think I've met close to 100 exJW's from here and hope to meet more.
When besty and SP were here, (along with our partner in crime, Randy), we were a bit more regular in having meetups. I need to do a better job at keeping it going. I get sidetracked. But I've enjoyed everyone I've met, and am thankful that I met my now closests friends here. (Except for designs...we go waaaaaaaaay back...lol.)
I hope to meet Leo at some point, which I'm sure I will. If I ever get back to France, I would love to meet Narkissos. After reading the exchanges between Leo and Nark, I was convinced I didn't know a nuttin about nuttin...in a good way.
If the apostacruise comes together next year, that would be a great opportunity to meet more from here. Actually, on FB there are tons of people, (I'm not sure what their names are on here or if they are even on here), that I'd love to meet.

What Is the longest Prayer (Meeting, Circuit Assymbly, District, Internation.) You have endured?
by AvocadoJake inplace los angeles dodger stadium temperature 97-100 degrees.
.
prayer lenght 25 minutes of pain!.

Yep, Freddy. With Freddy he was always good for 25 minute minimum prayer.
I was at Pasadena in 1963! Don't remember much. Just constant reminders of "DO NOT EAT THE OLEANDERS." Also I remember ladies in kimonos for some reason. I do remember freezing to death at Candlestick park. I think that was when we got to get metal seats that hooked to the benches from the KH. To add to the good times, we stayed with non JW people in rooms found in the "rooming work." Remember "the Rooming Work?"
Anyhoo...no prayer like a Freddie prayer.

Since Leaving the JW's - Have you Changed your Medical Contact Person ?
by flipper inin case of a really serious medical emergency- it's something to seriously consider.
otherwise former aquaintances like jw elders in your former congregations or allegedly well meaning jw relatives who may have been listed by you as your emergency contacts might try running interference regarding the medical treatment you receive !
i finally changed my emergency medical contacts a few years ago legally to my non-witness wife, my non-witness mother in law, and my non-witness adult son.

LOL, Mr. Flipper, yes I was talking to designs. I figured you are luckily all taken care of in department.
It probably isn't a bad idea to offer to exJW's if they need support in this. We'll have a DPA signing party.
Sounds like all is well with you Mr. Flipper...good to know! xx

I think pressure from the CO, and they were high profile/well known.
The WTBS ground is not stable. That is why they have to control the flock and bully any perceived malcontent.

(yeah I know. I don't know what to do about it. I downloaded google chrome at someone's suggestion and it is no better. I tried to copy and past from word and that didn't work either. I just don't have a clue what to do. I'm on my iPad right now)
I think I tried to post that I told Frank the thread was resurrected.
