Surreal experience last night.
by objectivetruth inrecently a jw friend that my wife & i knew 3 years ago added me on facebook, after i accepted the request she invited me to a dinner that her and her husband are holding next month.. i imagined that she was unaware of our apostasy, so i declined the invitation on the basis of not wanting to ruin her dinner after the rest of her guests fled at our presence.. i'm never sure how old friends will react when i tell them that i'm no longer a jw.. usually their response is "..... permanent-silence......".
her response went something like this, " we are all out!
everyone that is coming is out we all look forward to seeing you guys so much" it turns out that there will be 6 people at the dinner all friends of ours from a congregation that we attended a few years back.. they have all left the organization recently.. pretty crazy experience..

Yep. It's evil to not allow people to become who they were meant to be.
Lovely girl...so glad her love for music was greater than her fear of her parents.

I don't like labels and judgement...JWs are all about classifications.
On the other hand, as has been mentioned here many times...it would give a person freedom, which I am SO ready for. I have some communication right now that I would miss...but I guess I would get over it like everything else.
I think about it all the time.

JW.Org Blitz
by Theredeemer ini've noticed, partilcularly on instagram, a advertising blitz for jw.org by the dubs.
primarily its the younger ones 35 and under vs older ones.
i dont know if its just my friends or everyone but they are obsessed with jw.org.

I had two of them knocking on my door yesterday and did not have much of a presentation but just encourage me to check their website.
Easy preaching!!!!
I was wondering about that. I agree. Of course if they made it more difficult fewer would do it. So they have to make these "adjustments" to keep the numbers they have.

?? Question for those that have successfully faded/are out:
by Darth Fader The Sequel inquestion: can any of you that have successfully faded out of the jw world without being df'd or da'd relate to me/us how you were able to maintain at least one or a few of your "still in" friends or family?
(and even if you were df'd or da'd and still maintained some relationships, how did that go?).
obviously, the truly demented, sick and twisted (and highly effective) policies and structure of the wtbt$ to set up a system by which anyone that chooses to no longer believe or participate must be treated as "mentally diseased" and a pariah by their own friends and family is the hands down, numero uno reason why many hundreds of thousands and possibly millions of jw's do not leave.

Moving is best.
Friends, well it depends on the friend. There are some whose love and loyalty extend beyond any rules. They are few and far between.

I've been reading these today on FB and it is very moving.
I thint what Mum said would be so powerful. The personal statement with the bouguet of flowers left at a KH makes a huge statement. The person who finds it and puts those items in the trash will not forget it I don't think, ever. It might plant a seed of humanity where there is none.

When You See A Witness What's Your Reaction?
by minimus inis it a feeling of---oh no!!?.
are you happy to see them?.
do you have a feeling of consternation?.

Different reactions.
When I see JWs I don't know, I think I feel pity.
When I see people I know, my poor brain goes back into memories and I end up angry sometimes that we have this divide. It's a stupid line in the sand that is a waste of time and emotion.
I'm included in some social occasions with JWs, and althought I'm annoyed at the division and weirdness of it all, I realize how much we all have grown that have left. JW's conversation is empty...boring...all they have to talk about is their day and their "theo" activities. There is no need for them to expand their mind or find interests because they are so "special;" they are the only people that are going to survive a earth wide catastrophe...so why bother? Then I breathe a sigh of relief and appreciate my escape from the emptiness of mind control. Phew.
I am going to meetup with some JW's I haven't seen in 13 years next week. I'm wondering why they want to meet and where their heads are at. Hopefully they are on the path out. What a waste of time and life to stay in this loser religion.

Pixar the production company is jealous of Caleb and Sophia video's
by life is to short inso said the co last night.. apparently a jw was on a flight and just happend to sit next to some big wig from pixar and when the man from pixar heard that he was a jw the pixar man just gushed over what great work that the watchtower has done in producing the caleb video's.
he siad he only wished pixar could do such great work.
the co said we are able to do it because we have free labor and jehovah behind us.. my husband stayed home from the meeting but wanted to tie in by phone and that is what the co said in his talk.. the co also talked about all the changes that have happened in the last ten years and how if some of the friends did not like it they needed and to quote him "they just needed to get over it" these changes are going to happned period.
