All they have to say now is the end is "really really really really close!"
Everybody seems to be good with just that.
if you don't gerrit you remain in the losch of lies and manipulations of the new world society of jehovah’s witnesses .
today only one organization is exclaiming about this real peril.
this is the new world society of jehovah’s witnesses.

None of the GB had any religious training as far as I know, and they don't really care to. So they can make any claim and go about their day because it just doesn't matter. They are focused on $$ and keeping their jobs and golden living arrangements.
I was still in when a program came on PBS about apocalyptic religions through the centuries. I'm sure your list above was part of the program. The show came right through the 1800's and the offshoots of Miller. Each sect presented perfectly good reasons in their mind why their specific date was "the real end of the world." It made all the difference to me and I was out within two years. I watched the same show with an elder friend and his wife, and it didn't phase him one bit. So it goes.
Good riddance.
1/31/2024 in the strange but true category.
confused holy spirit appoints killer servant.
"" a twisted jehovah's witness bludgeoned a woman he rowed with over incomplete building works to death with a hammer, then merrily whistled as he packed up his tools and went to lead a service at the church where they met.
You just wonder what in the world it could possibly take to make people at least question the appointment arrangement when something like this happens.
This is horrifying.

Yes there was a guy down here in the 90's who went to prison. Financial "planner" I think, ended up a ponzi scheme.

Nice going Br. Lovett! What a scumbag.
uh, i wonder if that is true... hearing this from friends within bethel... gonna laugh my ass of if they change this....
may become more "don't ask....don't tell".
This^^^
They are going to distance themselves from the rules that require the intrusive policing of the flock that they were all about for decades. It detracts from the corporate goals of real estate/media/lawsuits etc.
The two witness rule is a bit more complicated as it’s an insane defense in a CSA in a court of law or opinion.
👏🏻 waves to Balaam and 3rd!!! ❤️❤️
hello, i’ve just joined here and am hoping for some advice.
i was baptised a long time ago but left soon after (da).. i recently returned and have a bible study.
was reinstated about a year ago.
Men make religion. They can make up what means what to their hearts content.
The person studying with you would most like not be able to answer anything about Christadelphians, or anybody.
My answer to my brother regarding the FDS, Matt. 24:45-46 clearly outlines the onus is on how the slave is treating the domestics, not if the domestics are obedient to the appointed slave.
Remember less is best in talking to them. I say be gracious and thankful for their concern but in a tone to suggest this discussion is over.

Probably best if you continue to play the "MOM IS SICK" card and tell them your schedule is SO BUSY at the moment that you are SO STRESSED OUT. Thank them for their love and concern.
^^^This.
Say only this. I understand the feeling of wanting to be honest and up front, but it will not go well for you. You will get used to it eventually. This worked for me. There was fallout, and it's a nervous dance, actually still is a bit and I've been out for 22 years.
Good luck.
i’ve noticed a pattern where things don’t go the way i expect them to go and/or whenever i realise there is a trend and, i mentally adjust for the idea that the trend will continue, the trend stops in its tracks.
so on that basis, and given many people, including myself, and active jws, have been asking ‘what changes will the governing body make next?’ perhaps the (disappointing) answer is: ‘nothing much for a while to come’.
maybe they’ve made the changes they want for now, and will wait a while and see how it’s received.
To make the changes they have made to the corporation, Brooklyn/jwdotorg/media/ etc., they have to have loooong range plans, non of them spiritual. It is for the survival of the corporation, how to protect it. I don't know this GB, but from my observation the old guys just deliver the news, and would not have any experience to guide a corporation of this magnitude. They are only the faces that the flock revere.
These are business decisions IMHO, from very savvy business men who are trying to stop the bleeding. Giving out the "oh boy's" was pretty genius. Relaxing the shunning doesn't change any corporate real estate investment plans, and definitely helps their image to "the world" (TM) in their legal issues.
Does "Service Department" really want to deal judicially with a family being too friendly with a DF'd child when they have mega legal issues at stake all over the world that could tremendously impact the future of their real estate holdings and income of corporation?
I think there will be distancing from any controversial doctrines. The message is still loud and clear "the end is very very very very very near". That is really all I hear, and the "GB this and the GB that".
I've a hear a little that maybe the older folks are having more issues with changes, not uncommon. From others they are having great fun with the relaxed rules, group vacations, etc.
Interesting times for sure.
