I've been thinking about doing the same thing. A gal who searched me out from Classmates.com told me about moving to Arizona and joining a singles club and she met her husband there.
Where do you find them?
have any of you ever joined a singles club?.
i've recently moved and don't know anyone in the new area.
a friend suggested that this may be a way to better matriculate and start building a social network.. it's pretty pricey but my birthday is next week and i'm considering making this my present to myself this year.. any suggestions?

barbara anderson has just released a new book on cd that contains some 5000 pages of public court records from the nine lawsuits involving 16 victims that the wts settled secretly in may of this year, plus documents from two other cases the society settled in 2000 and 2006.. .
its called secrets of pedophilia in an american religion: jehovahs witnesses in crisis.. .
the book, and more info from barbara about it, is available here:.
Ordered it!
Thank you Barbara and God bless.
my young daughter asked this question regarding adam & eve:.
if they were perfect, why did they need to eat from the tree of good and bad anyway?.
we eat to nourish our bodies, we eat to replenish, we eat for energy....they were perfect and would not need those things.. from the mouth of babes.... what's your thoughts....
Yes, they were perfect. God created them perfect.
Where does it say that in the Bible?
does your conscience torment you knowing that you are misleading the flock of god as you continue teaching them the heresies of the watchtower society?.
why are you staying in the organization and posting here at the same time?.
do you really believe that you can help your families to reject the watchtower society while remaining an elder and visibly appearing to support their lies and false teachings?.

Thank you for posting your thoughts. You guys are doing things just right.

First off I want to show my appreciation to all who come here, no matter what their status. That is the beauty of this board. Thank you to Simon and all for the caretaking of this board.
When I first walked away, I went through some angst regarding the people I knew who wanted to remain in regardless of their new found "truth." I didn't understand...after all...weren't we taught to stand up for the "truth"! Sit down in front of 60,000 people during the anthem, sit in a library at 6 years old during any and all "worldly" school celebrations, endlessly preaching the paganism of "everything" that everybody was doing...you get my point. "Make your stand", it's the "truth!" You don't have enough faith, are spiritually weak, drawing away from Jah...whatever if you weaken in your stand. So the feeling I think was natural to lose patience with those not ready to make their move with their new found information.
But now I have learned to support everyone in their journey. No one should dictate to anyone what they should or shouldn't do, IMHO. Had enough of that with the WBTS. I am sooooo happy I made my decision when I did; it's behind me and "phew," don't have think about doing it in the future.
I have always thought that the only way the Society will feel the pinch is if there was an exodus of elders and pioneers...because they are really the only ones who count, and it would hurt them. It's a dream still...but I'm sure that is all it will ever be.
But you elders here, kudos to you for your courage and bravery to continue to ask questions and investigate things against all counsel.
Strength for the journey.
i leave in a few days.
nothing drastic, just a glorious road trip through the rockies.
unless i drag hubby in to a cyber cafe along the way, i will be incommunicado.
I'll be good!!
Have a wonderful time! 4 weeks! In my dreams, really.
last night i had a phone call from a concerned friend who knows we face a jc.
he means the world to me and is like my second dad.
he is a loving, intelligent wonderful man (a little opinionated, but aren't we all?
Good job with your friend.
I hope knowing you as he does he at least files the info you gave him, for future reference.
It is savvy for you to bow out of the meetings respectfully and then get the h*ll out of Dodge, sorry to say.
; ))
i absolutely love omelettes.
the problem is, i've come to realize the ones i make are pretty bland.
i only usually use ham, and(or) bacon, sausage, cheese, and sometimes tomatoes.
Ooooh Ohhhh!!!
My new favorite omelette is either fresh sauteed tomatoes or canned diced with herbs (or add your own.) Serve on a bed of spinach sauteed with garlic the omelette, cover with sauteed tomatoes, and then feta on top of that. Fresh ground pepper and any other spices to taste.
Very fast and simple and deeeelish.
PS. You know the sauteed spinach and tomatoes are two of the things we should have almost everyday.
i guess that i can say, from a biblical viewpoint, anyone that practices "fornication", having sex without being married, would be "immoral".
other than, i don't lie or cheat or steal or even kill anyone else!
do you view yourself a "moral" or "immoral" person and why?
My morals are better since I left. Looking back...I don't know why I did what I did, frustration, escape...dunno.
Now...whole different ballgame.
thinking out loud.... .
justice.. topics that need discussing.
justice is getting what you deserve.
Where does is say "Adam and Eve were created perfect?"
