So the opening says, "as previously announced." Does anybody know when/where this previous announcement was made?

bassist charlie haden and journalist john seigenthaler.. during my pioneer years in the late 1960s and early 1970s my pioneeer buddy and i would go to the lighthouse in hermosa beach, ca.. and listen to the great jazz artists of the time.
when we were underage they would let us in through the alley door.

Praise For Witnesses On Welfare Who Full Time Pioneer!
by minimus inthe watchtower has always praised witnesses who are on welfare and decided to pioneer.
many in my congregation, including my mom, were given kudos, praise and assembly parts because they took advantage of jehovah's provision through the government....did you notice this, or was it obvious to me because i was raised in the inner city and many people recieved government help?.

They follow their leaders who take a vow of poverty and ask the working faithful to fund what they themselves are not willing to work for.

If END is Imminent, Why Witness in Silence in Public Places?
by ProfCNJ inwe were taught for 100 years that the end or armageddon is imminent, as if it is coming in a hurry.
but look now at the new way of sharing god's kingdom in uk which i find as a complete irony.
"thousands have switched tactics to stand on street corners in more than a dozen cities across britain - and unusually for public preachers, they are staying almost completely silent... unlike other evangelical preachers, they do not shout or call attention to themselves - instead standing in near-silence until someone approaches them."http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2691254/how-jehovahs-witnesses-got-street-smart-believers-swap-infamous-doorstepping-standing-outside-train-stations-shops.html.

lol designs.
It's what ADCMS said.
There is a mild attempt to address the dilemma in the October WT in the article containing a suggested response to the 1914 issue in a conversation format.
Smoke and mirrors. Keep the RBC and jw.org in the face of the faithful to make them thing the WTBS is somehow relevant today.

'Jehovah's Kingdom' convention banner
by undercover inmaking the rounds on facebook is a snapshot of some jws holding a huge banner from the upper deck at a convention.
it says, "jehovah's kingdom" and underneath a crudely drawn download 'bar' with the number 99% on the right side, as if to say in computer lingo, jah's day is almost here.
behind are other dubs holding up smaller placards, but i can't remember what they said.. is this a wt sanctioned or approved action?

AN ALTERNATIVE CONVERSATION WITH A NEIGHBOR - Watchtower, October 2014
by AnnOMaly inthe contrived and unrealistic conversation that one of jehovahs witnesses imagined having with a neighbor in the october 2014 watchtower will not be reproduced here.
instead let us imagine another conversation another witness named andre (ahem, sorry) cameron has at the home of another man who is also named jon.keep searching for a suckercameron: jon, ive really enjoyed the regular discussions weve been having about the bible.
* the last time we spoke, you raised a question about gods kingdom.

Hmmm...wrote a comment but it dissappeared. Operator error I'm sure.
Meant to say, IMHO, I think this is targeted at JWs not "Jon neighbor." A weak attempt to make JWs think a laughable doctrine is somehow relevant and "honest hearted"TM individuals are really interested in what JWs have to say. Smoke and mirrors.
From what I hear from the congos is FS is done merely to obey and be part of the club. Creative ways are explored to keep up their hours. (Smoke and mirrors.) I think HQ knows D2D is unproductive and there has been no REAL emphasis on studies. They are just not there. In my urban location, that is the story anyway. x

Testimony card returns
by sir82 inold timers, or careful readers of the proclaimers book, are familiar with the "testimony card" used in the early days of rutherford-era door to door witnessing.
the jw would traipse up to a house, knock, hand the card over to the householder, and wait while he read it.. well, it seems that "everything old is new again".
here is an excerpt from a recent boe letter:.

Interesting. Makes sense really. Mildly surprised they are not counting the placement.
