  What would you say is the main reason why people didn't listen to us?

  when i started going out door to door, i was sure i'd bring a couple of people with me to the org.

  i knew my parents believed in god and the bible, so i was sure i'd be able to convince them with a few simple verses that we had the truth.

  but no, they didn't seem convinced enough to want to study.

  Why should anybody listen to anybody else. People are bussy living their lives, they dont want to be weighed down with garbage. Maybe they dont listen to the witnesses because they arent lonely, they arent looking for anything we offer, which would be lies and falsehoods.

  i still believe in god.

  still believe his name is jehovah or something like it.. still believe that jesus is his son, and he isn't god almighty.. don't believe in the trinity.

  i believe in the resurrection.

  I'm just wondering why I still believe in so much of what the JW's teach, except for their false dates, and still I don't want to be one of them because their lack of love and justice ruins the good news of the Kingdom.

  You still believe them because you havent reprogramed yourself. I hope your not waiting for somone else to do it for you.

  for most all of us here we have had association with the jehovah's witnesses in some way or another.

  there are many man-made "rules" within the organization.

  that fact we all agree on.

  I believe so. You have to have integrity to get along with others and work and survive, or you will be cast out from society, kind of like the witnesses disfelloshiping one.

  Integrity is=

  adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty

  If you dont have integrity you won't even be able to hold a job at Mcdonalds.

  Did you go to meetings while on vacation?

  im so damn spiritual id leave well oiled spots on your suit if you rubbed up against me.

  yeah...i packed kingdom hall clothes and service bags to go on vacation.

  Not usually, But at least 1 time while visiting friends who had moved to Florida. I think we were scoping out the area to move their and wanted to see how the congregations were.

  My parents would visit halls on vacation.

  They would say "You never take a vacation from Jehovah".

  I remember that saying. Most of the time I would not go to meetings on vacation. But I know at least once or twice I did, as I would visit friends that moved to Florida and they expected me to go to their meetings as I would stay at their house.

  solvents used in aerosol sprays, cologne, perfumes affect my health.

  If you like such structure I think you would be better off joining the military in the USA, They have a better retirement plan.
