  did you intend to leave your estate to the wts when you died?.

  in several threads ive read, ppl make comments to the effect that theres no point leaving money to jws, because they would just leave the money to the wts anyway.. .

  this is an assumption that i believe is a generalisation.. .

  i look back now and think what the hell was wrong with me?

  it's just so crazy to be so blind.

  everytime, i'd think that this or that wasn't quite right, i'd think i was committing blasphemy.. it's sad to know that's why many people are still stuck in that religion..

  The only teaching I questioned was 1975 and 1976 clarified that. I lived through it.

  When 76 came, the whole house of cards fell down for me.

  I was serving for a date. Because I was born in, I was looking for a loophole

  to escape through, and they gave it to me with smiling faces and empty heads.

  just curious.

  i know many people that say they wouldn't die for religion but follow practices that might cause their death.

  i have to say that i love music!

  i love 60s to present r &b, soul, funk and many top 40 songs.

  i think that even if i'm tired or down a bit, music picks me up!.

  Im passionate about music. I like to play it on the guitar and sing.

  I listen to it on my I pod at the gym.

  And at home every week I will pick out a song. I record it on to pro tools on my computer.

  Then I play the drums with the song. Then I play the bass guitar with the song. Then I sing back up

  vocals and put on key boards.

  I leave off the lead vocal and lead guitar.

  Then I have the song with me playing all the parts and Its like being in a band with out

  the arguments.

  And I can take the songs put them on CD's and go into bars and play the music for money.

  I can play them by myself or take a drummer and a bass player and play with the guide I have

  created with pro tools.

  I'm familiar with the Illuminati, the buildeburgers, and bohemian grove.

  I try not to think about it. There is nothing I can do about it.

  This life is a forum of many different truths.

  A lot of people here after leaving the tower become atheist, which are naturalist, materialist.

  They dont believe in anything they cant see or touch. Or that science cant put under a microscope.

  A person can find libraries of information and data for whatever they choose to believe.

  Conspiracies, evolution, creation, God, the Devil, aliens.

  Alex Jones prison planet is a good source for conspiracy info.

  And for some far out conspiracy theories check out David Icke. He's like Alex Jones on steroids.

  Were you Stalked or Chased After Once you Exited the JW's by Elders ?

  i tried to fade off the map by moving 30 miles initially in 2004 after i exited in late 2003 .

  the first several years they didn't bother me.

  i ran into a elder from my former congregation in late 2005 in an antique store - he tried telling me i was wrong for stopping attending meetings.

  My father and law and brother in laws were elders. I told them when I was done with

  the Wactower. Dont ever talk to me like I am a Jehovahs witness again.

  And they never did. Not since 1983.

  I've since partied with them, aniversaries, pic nicks, family get togethers.

  Other friends & Elders would say "hello" in Home Depot, Sears or the grocery store.

  And they would say "Oh, we miss you."

  I'd say, "You really shouldnt think about me".

  They never had a come back for that.

  I handled them a few times. I didnt care for it or try to be available. I had a wife and

  child to sit with. I was the literature servant. So it really wasnt my department.

  I miss my Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer 2

  was reminiscing with a friend on facebook about our past and the thread concerning windows 7 got me thinking about the hours i spent writing programs for my trash 80 computer.

  any other nerds like me who miss the old hardware?.

  or does anyone miss anything from their younger days (not necessarily computers)?.

  Does ANYTHING About JWs Make Sense To You?

  i've been thinking about why people become jehovah's witnesses and why they remain in the religion.. it seems like almost everything they believe in is flawed.. the chronology, which this religion is founded on is a problem.. their understanding of bible prophecy is pathetically funny.

  they teach everything in prophetic bible books ultimately apply to them.. their belief that the "faithful & discreet slave class" exists is ridiculous.

  in all fairness, they cannot 'prove" anything they say about their organization as being "truth".

  Today in this age being a witness makes little sense.

  I was born in back in 52. Information was hard to come by. My father never was a witness,

  but he allowed my mother to take me and my brother to the meetings to get us all out of his

  hair so he didnt have to be a parent.

  Why did it make sense to my mother? She didnt have to be a parent either, she didnt have to

  help us with school work or make us do school work because school was bad.

  She didnt have to think about to much except get us to the meetings and out in service on

  Saturday mornings.

  To bad she didnt get into a simpler religion that didnt require as much, that wasnt so

  controlling and intrusive.

  Since being and escaping from the watchtower we know why all other religions are wrong

  which leads many to atheism and agnosticm.

  Atheism if its true is not very comforting and doesnt lead to a very happy person.

  I can see what made sense about my congregation back in the 50's and 60's.

  All the big shots were sales men.

  Our head honcho presiding overseer, I dont know what they call them today, was

  a Buick salesman, he had his own Buick dealership and all of the good witnesses in

  Cleveland drove Buicks. I suspect the Buick thing even made its way to New York, bethel.

  I think they drove Buicks up there. Not Cadillacs or Lincolns back in the 60's and 70's.

  The other big shots in Cleveland were insurance salesmen, and pots and pans salesmen

  and they were very successfull.

  Being a leader in a kingdom hall, Being a leader in a circuit and a district and selling

  Buicks and car and home insurance made a lot of sense to some JW's.

  It also made some millionares.

  A gang is 2 or 3 people with common identifying symbols engaged in criminal activity.

  I work in the Criminal justice system. In Florida every street in the poor neighbor hoods

  has its own gang. The 32nd street gang 34th street gang etc.

  Youth gangs are 20 to 29 year old thugs getting 12 to 16 year old thugs to commit

  felonies. Most of them suck their thumbs when they sleep at night and piss their bed.

  Even the ones that arent outwardly Satanic are Satanic they have star of David and Pitch forks

  for their signs.

  The youth that are in gangs usually have crack head parents who accept no responsiblity.

  So the youth sell drugs to make money for school and to buy things. They also

  steal cars and other goods to be fenced.

  Gangs are bad, but it goes with the territory of sex out of wed lock and not bringing up

  your offspring, when you do the first two you create someone who is incorrigible

  and will end up being institutionalized for life.

  What these dead beat parents end up doing is replicating themselves.

  The only way I see anyone can do anything about it is to adopt a street urchin,

  then you got a 25% chance of turning him around depending how old he is to begin

  with.

  Its kind of like the story of saving a star fish washed up on the shore.

  A man was walking down the beach picking up star fish and throwing them

  back into the sea, a passerby asked "this beach is miles long do you think you

  can possibly save all these star fish, do you think you can make any difference"?

  and the man looked at the starfish he picked up as he prepared to throw it back

  into the sea and said, "it will make a difference to this one".

  A side point with this bad economy, foster parenting street urchins is a up an comming way

  to keep the bill collector at bay, if you qualify husband and wife can make 1500 to 2000$

  a month for taking in one to two depending on the details.

  Once you adopt them though the money gets turned off. Or at least the flow gets reduced.

  In Brazil the cops shoot the kids in the street.

  Here in the US we let the tax payers subsadize gang shennanigans.

  It keeps the lawyers in BMW's.
