Folks,

I feel odd saying this - since you have your reasons for wanting old Watchtower Publications - WHY do you waste your time with their garblydygook, "clear teaching of scripture" that takes 5,000 words of convoluted explanation to confuse you into believing, and with their over-bearing threats seducing you into being a good Watchtower follower (Is being a WT follower actually being a Witness for YHVH or a Christian - I think not) on their terms?

I think that Raymond Franz has written well over a thousand pages of why the Watchtower is wrong to do his pen·ance [pénn?ns]

Others have written plenty too and a little examination proves that they are not driven by hate or foaming at the mouth or insane. But why waste more time researching the weird and bizarre and totalitarian notions of the Watchtower. Their deceits run so deep and are so full of twists and turns that the attempt to search through TENS of THOUSANDS of PAGES to find another reason to distrust what they have taught me for 40 plus years of my 48 years just isn't on my list of priorities.

I do read those "wastes of my time" instead of the Bible when I need devotional time but have often needed to assure myself that I am making a good choice to get completely out. I go to independent Christain and Protestant type of Churches now and have felt great about it every time I went.

I know that I was brain-washed by them for my whole child-hood and most of my adult life so far even though I often smelled a RAT in their backed up plumbing worth of teachings. Brain-washing =

HELP! I got a call from an elder today!

an elder in my hall finally called me after 7 months after me moving out on my own.

he was inquiring about how i was doing and which hall i needed my publishers card sent too.

(of course i did not ansewr and he left a message) up until now, my parents still think i go to meetings (although even my mom has been wondering why my publishers card has not been sent over) i keep stalling insisting i don't know why and that i am regular at meetings and service.

I must add. Be honest. If you don't want to say don't. Lies are a hole that someone else puts you in because of their psycho-emotional pressure for you to answer to them when you don't want to answer to them any more and when you wish to hide what you feel. Why lie and put yourself in a hole?

And why let yourself be put in a hole by someone else for you to then have to dig yourself out of? ANd why jump into the hole the WT digs and points to for you to jump into. Get real. They are not what they say they are and never have been. Think hard about all those ideas you had of: "What does this gobblydy-gook mean? This isn't Biblical. What are they telling me to do - hate someone I don't know and know nothing about because they are said to differ?" And others. Those were my quandries among others.

Be honest. What is it you really want? You can't solve a problem until you can define it. The problem you present is how you are going to answer for what you really are! And how you feel best living! Wow, tough choice. Be happy or fall in line OR ELSE.

Umm but define it yourself. I have my own cliches to live with.

Do you have anyone you can confide in that doesn't take 15 minutes to write 2 minutes of spoken ideas? Actually, most of the Pastors have been very neutral about my Watchtower background. Some know the dark truths of them but only told me what they knew when I told them what I knew. No pressure. The only resistance I got was when I, when I got pushy with an idea. Otherwise they made me feel that I was a friend and on my own merits. ALL the mental health counselors I have ever met or read from about the Watchtower tell of their heavy handed-ness and the horrible toll of suffering they impart to their followers. Is that really anything like Christianity? Yes, it took mental health counseling for me to get out of some ruts. Ruts they put me into!

Be honest. Would it make you happy to run scared, in circles, in the hole they dig and point to and demand you jump into? Who do you REALLY need to answer to? You do answer to yourself - you know that don't you? That is what a conscience is and yours is screaming to live.

Hi. The issue you face is if your right to make a decision for yourself should be yours without undue influence or over-reaching. Yes, a family can change your life with their influence. If someone loves you, would they try to ruin your life in spite? Remember the arguments against their being an immortal soul - since many people seem to believe that the spirits of dead persons needing to be placated because if they became angry they would ruin our lives?

Why would a loved one who was good to us all their lives and loved us, who then dies, become vindictive if one did not leave a bowl of rice and milk out for them at an altar or give $ to the Ju-Ju priest?

Why?

If you actually answer to God YHVH and his Son Jesus then why worry? Yes, there will be noise, as I was told it would not be pleasant but it won't last long. Yes, God will ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS. Talking to God is prayer, but if God talks to you the WT says its SCHIZOPHRENIA. The Watchtower wants you to believe that at this time in HIstory he has left us with a pile of contradictory information which they publish. They want you to believe that GOD DOESN"T HAVE THE POWER TO REACH YOU ABOUT HIS WILL - PERSONALLY.

Did you think to ask HIM?

Perhaps you fall into one of the common groups of those who left the unholy Watchtower for good reason, hopefully you actually still want to live a good life and have found out how useless their hate-filled anti-religion actually is. Did they cloister you from "The World" and then warn you that you had to be careful of who you associated with in the Cong? Is it not really the case that by making your world so small that you could be controlled more easily. It is just another layer of control but it is the choke hold level of control. HUMANS ARE SOCIAL CREATURES. We need each other and I and millions of others are here for you.

I had the worst time when I started to attend other Churches but as I and Others found out - you have so many unfound friends that you were warned were working for the Devil himself but are anything but. Did you ever Google research the Watchtowers origins?

TRUST THE LORD JESUS. I am just getting used to acting like a Christian and viewing others in my community as all being potential friends with Jesus bringing us together. What I mean is - would you expect to feel loved, encouraged, informed of what is in scripture when you attend your firsdt Baptist Sunday School and Service? I was. In the first four different churches I attended I found loving people. They are their because they love God. Perhaps the Mafia does go to Catholic Church for the Prestige and impratur of respectability but your neighbors are not likely to be 100% Mafia! Go to any church that appeals to you in the Yellow pages, listen to God direct you. He did me. I feel so much better and I have come home from CHURCH feeling so happy and relieved that I swear that if it were dark I might have been glowing! HAPPY!

It may be hard to concieve for you to go to a non-JW meeting. It was improbable in the extreme for me. 2years of age to 47 in the Kingdom hole. Some of them made me feel like I some sort of suspicious nefarious creep come skulking in. Before I wore a big fluffy beard. Now I look like a grubby street bum in good clothes however and I am treated like a friend and feel wonderful.

Did you say you wanted LOVE? Or freedom from the consequences of your personal choice? Did you want the benefits of making a great choice for yourself and the wonderful opportunity of getting loved and not being under threat of psycho-emotional deprivation? Or did you want to continue living under that heavy hand of the ALL-POWERFUL WATCHTOWER? The WT only has the power you give them. Mostly. They are implicated incriminal level conspiracy against those who get vocal as dissidents. I will chance it since I know this site might be monitored for those like me. I can call the police, radio & TV station, or mail a letter to the newspaper and that can sink them or get me nothing BUT they take that chance not me. I wrote all the major Kingdom Halls I ever attended and wrote my reasons for my disgust with the Watchtower.

I strongly feel that I have the right to remain silent and answer NO QUESTIONS. I do not answer for anything for any reason to the Watchtower. And they don't answer to me. My letter never said I am resigning .... Should I live my life by their rules and on their playing field with their slang and twisted thoughts clouding up my otherwise clear thoughts? Do you want to be independent using the WT's rules to decide if your belief system is OK? Or that you are a good person in reality. Thought control IS PERVASIVE in those who leave the WT. I still feel the oddest feelings of guilt for making the BEST CHANGE IN MY LIFE.

You must answer to your own conscience and that means that if you go to the Assembly of God for Church and You really don't agree with the trinity then You don't have to or say that you do. The same rules must apply or you will go from being ruled by one dictator to being ruled by another authoritarian pig. You can see this I hope. Follow this through and ask if I had NO FEAR - WHAT WOULD I DO? FOR MY GOOD.

Love and the best to you, Jesus sees you as his and his alone and he will help you. Ask the Father (YHVH) as Jesus did.

Should I warn this householder of the danger?

i was out today and working with a well-indoctrinated brother ("brother b").

we were hitting houses with tracts then running, until we went on his call.

brother b was trying to give him an asleep and a tract, and invite him to the talk today, which was given by a bethelite (and it was a heavy indoctrination session, which is another story).

I would have the same quandary if I went door to door looking like I wanted to endorse the Watchtower's religion by looking like a follower, attending like a follower, getting counted like a follower, and then wanting people to know the truth about the Watchtower's totally dishonest, cruel, heavy-handed, perverted, hypocritical ways. Not to offend you since I don't know - Why do you choose to live the way of a double agent. Even that is offensive to say to you, sorry. I think you should reconsider being "In the Truth" (the word truth is an English term and English dictionaries do not allow for that use, how can one be in something like "truth"?) and wanting people to be un-misled. May I suggest: QUIT. Give NO reason. Even that implies that you still answer to them. Send them a letter condeming what you want to condemn and/or just give them a legal warning against contact, harrasment, slander, infringment on your liberites, and TRESPASSing on your property by them, their agents, assignees... and if they do come come to your home call the police, show them the WRITTEN WARNING and watch them go to jail to join other criminal elements. But do not include your resignation. You should not answer to them and they do not answer to you.

I was asked if I didn't want to be a Jehovah's Witness anymore. I slammed the elder with a warning, "Don't ever put your words out as mine or say that I said anything of any sort. That would make me very upset." Don't even dignify their misuse of such a term with their definitions and connotations still attached. Anyway, Isaiah said that YHVH chooses his witnesses himself. It matters none if I call or do not call myself by such a term. Doing the job is enough.

Please, leave. Hard as it may be IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE, and essential to your perceived sincerity. Be Christ oriented. Interview local ministers /pastors and apologize to everyone. It will matter for your voice to finally be heard as against the Watchtower.

Wouldn't all that be included as better suited to the task you want to accomplish?

Have you ever Google searched the following pairs of words, "Watchtower Occult"; "Watchtower United Nations"; "Watchtower Scandal"; " Charles Taze Russell Pyramid"; Charles Taze Russell Free-Mason"?

Has anyone been a victim of stalking for being a WT dissident?

i recently wrote a letter expounding the flaws of the watchtower regarding their sexual abuse of children scandals, being in the united nations, having been started by a freemason (with proofs) and while i didn't write it as an "why i don't want to be a member anymore letter" no one would confuse it as a love letter either.

i don't answer to the watchtower's agents and they don't answer to me.. what is seemingly happening is that i have been followed since the letter was mailed to 4 ex-congregations i went to for long periods of time including the one i attended with my jw ex-wife.

i believe that i might now be getting stalked.

Dear JW daughter,

Stupidity. Naivete. Complete brain-washing (See a dictionary for the real meaning) from infancy and the usual ideas that Jehovah will fix it... Some fanaticism and bad apples is granted as well. I wrote again and again trying to reform their ideas and teach others more correctly. Not very productive but necessary. But I more and more left off being a Watchtower devotee and this summer LEFT for good after getting over the dire warnings against reading "apostate writings" and "apostates internet sites" stuff. Oh my, WOW they are really BAD, I freaked because I know it is 99% all true. All the elements of the allegations of scandals were known to me but the meat of them was not. Never, ever again. Sorry. I'm feeling much better now.

What is seemingly happening is that I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWED since the letter was mailed to 4 ex-congregations I went to for long periods of time including the one I attended with my JW ex-wife. I believe that I might now be getting STALKED. Twenty years ago stalking happened to a local young JW woman after she accussed a sister of lesbian friendlinesses while staying away together. She was scared and freaked by the stalker and was later disfellowshipped for "immorality". Hmmm. How did they find out? Or was she set up for a blind date?

Scientology is openly accused of stalking dissidents. I searched the web and could not find an instance of a stalking complaint against the Watchtower or Jehovah's Witnesses. Berry the pedophile, his ex-wife sued the WT and stalking was an issue but it didn't seem a prominent one.

During my divorce from unfaithful first JW and never disfellowshipped for it wife I knew that I was followed on numerous occasions but attributed that to sour grapes and the usual private detective dirt collection practices in divorce cases. There was a strong element of intimidation by the PIs however. The information gathered by "dirt collection" is not useful in a divorce case BUT can be used to hurt a person if they are found to be involved in illegal activity. Also, if they are found to have a lover, "issues", ... they could be disfellowshipped by elders hostile to one party in the divorce. I grew a beard after the divorce. I didn't take any (of the mountain of) shit about wearing the beard. Elders waited until I re-married to disfellowship me. When I applied for re-instatement they wanted me to prove my repentence by shaving off my beard! I walked out without a word and later gave a five year old letter from the Brooklyn HQ saying that "no one should question me about my decision to wear a beard." I maintained that I felt that to be a promise and that they should not break WT promises - for what little they could be worth.

Also, I was openly watched and followed around a St Petersburg FL convention by a couple of young dudes and was hockey shoved in the aisles by one of them. One big fluffy beard can really irk some folks, no? A friend, Wilt, was hounded out of the WT for beard growing. But I don't think this could be about my facial hair.

Has anyone ever felt they were being stalked by someone working for and likely paid by the Watchtower or a JW? Has anyone ever discerned that they were being systematically followed or investigated, by private detectives, scum bags, "good-for-nothing-men-of-the-marketplace"?

I don't bother anyone, but have been vocal about grievances over goofy doctrine, poor scholarship and I grew a big fluffy beard. I even commented at WT studies against WT ideas. And I grew that big fluffy beard and went to the K.Hall for ten years with it. IF the WT / JWs ARE stalking me there aren't ANY grounds. Why would a religion pay for a protection scheme or to provoke someone with psychological abuse or cause another undue concern for one's safety? The essential element of crimes such as assault and stalking is the causing of apprehension. Apprehension exists when someone feels that actual harm may happen to them or someone they care for. Criminal Stalking statutes seem to require that a threat of harm must be made and then someone is observed following / stalking. The crime comes from the real or apparent use of any sort of threat of harm.

Anyway, I felt that I was being observed by an older guy in a BurgerKing. He left, stayed at his car door for a minute or two, got in and drove to hide behind a tree. Then he drove off west. I waved at him when he had gone some distance. Only someone watching their rear view mirror would have seen it at that distance. I went east. He circled the block and came from another way to where I now was as I traveled home and pulled into a side road and then u-turned out to continue following me. I waved again and pulled into my bank and went in to write down his description and tag #. He didn't follow me into the bank. Maybe he was a gay guy (with all due respect to homosexuals because of posting guideline #2) looking for a date but I hope to NOT see anyone else act distinctly interested in my whereabouts or travels. Private detectives are dead-in-the-water once they are observed and IDed which is why I waved the two times. A gay guy might have pulled into the bank. A P.I. wouldn't because most banks have surviellance in the parking areas that could photograph them and be used by law enforcement to ID them.

A person isn't paranoid if they really are being persecuted.

Regards to all ex JWs. Don't leave Jesus, he didn't start the Watchtower. Find Christ centered worshippers. Read non-WT re-written bibles. Their is no NEW WORLD in the BIBLE. A NEW WORLD ORDER is part of Free-Masonry the club of choice for CT Russell. Is the WT a front for a Free-Mason based "Christian" religion?

The purpose of the article was political, "Israel, modern, needs to face up to the fact that it has no "divine right" to the land it occupies. Israel must rely instead upon an equitable settlement in light of its undeniable modern day colonisation and conquest - a reality its opponents must accept but without straying outside the boundaries defined by international law - i.e. the 1967 borders. " And not for religious insight.

And the "chart" is misaligned and of no particular credential.

Lots of Professors lie and chant odd religiosities. Look into evolution closely and the impossibility of it becomes obvious. Only a NEED to believe it (and the requirements of the Scientific Community that all "reputable scientists" believe in evolution or be outcast and lose ones credentials) keeps it going. Evolution is a Hypothesis, Not a theory, or a principle or a law of nature. Re-read the manner of the scientific process. Evolutionary belief is religious in substance and is supported by dogmatic decrees and intimidation. Were there clear evidence there would be no need for authoritarian imposition of a teaching and heavy pressure to submit to it. The Watchtower is capable of intimidation also, yes? Keep an open mind, listen for Jesus words, await his Kingdom and release misdirected anger at God for the sins of men .

Umm, if the tetragrammatin is THE four letter NAME and four letter words are curse... words then a fool could assert that Gods name is another curse word! The Watchtower was started by a FreeMason and used bible based religion to paint itself over with and conceal itself. I was decieved by the WT as most of the members of this site were, but the God of the Universe is not defined by charts or false religion fathers is he?

Baptism in the name of the Father, son and the holy spirit is in those names only. Adding another to that such as the Watchtower, who paints themselves into every picture and scripture verse, or any other church / religion seems undesirable to me. I respect that Jesus Christ will take into his Kingdom any he is pleased to and they will not have to have been of any brand or denomination of religion. However, I want it known that I would like to be baptized in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit here in Florida. The WT baptism was into Masonry! Anyone there with a comment?
