..Your still an Idiot..
by OUTLAW init is a long way to my ranch..i mean along way..i live hundreds and hundreds of miles from any large city..the only general store is a miles and miles and miles away..once you get to the area i live, you have to travel a wagon trail that was here in the 1800`s.you`ve got to travel that wagon trail for awhile.there are a few wagon trails that split off from the main one..it`s a whole lot of nothing in every direction..if you manage to chose the right wagon trail to my ranch you still have a way`s to travel.once you get to my ranch,it`s fenced off,the gate is closed and the huskeys guard the yard..your not getting in.....what do i see when i get to the ranch gate?..it looks like a letter, stuffed into a plastic bag..i get closer and it`s too big to be a letter, maybe it`s a wanted poster for outlaw..lol!
!..i finally get to the gate, pull the plastic bag from between the boards of the gate..it`s a 2 page pamphlet about as thick as 2ply toilet paper.it says:"the end of false religion is near!"..??
?..how the hell did a jw find thier way here?..were they lost?..did the dogs eat them?..lol!

Driving in Winter Conditions, what tires do you prefer?
by JH inhere in quebec, i'd say that about 80% of cars have "winter tires" during the winter.
i'm still an "all season tire" person.
maybe not as good at lower temperatures, and doesn't give an as good traction on ice and snow, but it's a compromise i choose to save money.. here, in the winter category of tires, we have ice and snow tires.

During our last winter visit to Alberta we hired a car and were stunned at the way it held the road and reacted to heavy braking in quite severe weather conditions. Oh and the roads were kept very clear desite the heavy and continual snow falls - the trans-canadian highway never stopped and the traffic didn't seem to slow down much either!
The roads were packed with snow, temperatures were well below freezing day and night and the snow just kept on comming. Despite the fact we could not hire a manual and the tyres looked nothing special we felt as though we were driving on tarmac!
In Britain the minute we get half an inch on snow the country grinds to a halt, most people don't know how to drive on snow and ice because they've never experienced it, it can be quite entertaining.
We were really impressed at the way Canadians deal with these conditions, I just wish we had more of it here!

Can you function w/o your cell phone?
by unbeliever ini went without my cell phone for a couple of days because i left it at my brothers house.
he lives in another state and i had to wait for it to be overnighted to me.
i could not believe how crazy i went without it.

I admit I love my fone and the flexibility it gives me to call someone whenever I need to and where ever I happen to be
I like the fact that I can text a few words to someone without having to call and make unnecessary small talk either side of the essential info
I like the fact that me and my bloke can sent sweet little messages to each other whilst we are at work
I like the alarm and message reminders and calendar that compensate for my memory
and I like the fact that I can record something or take a photo if I ever need to
I really don't like the fact that it costs me a small fortune to take it to europe and and I hate the fact that I need a triband fone to take to US and Canada - that's really annoying!
However, I do think that all these kids with mobile is unhealthy, it stops them making decisions and growing up.
When I was a kid I didn't have a mobile so if I was in a situation I had to work out what to do myself and make a decision. Whereas now kids just call mummy the minute anything happens and she makes the decision. -

I love the part where the husband does the proper job and the wife cleans! Great, then she spouts on about the home. My goodness she's making excellent use of her brain cells!

Would You/Do You Remain As A JW "Technically"???
by minimus intechnically, since i am not df'd or dissasociated, i am considered by witnesses as an inactive jw.
i do not actively look to get df'd as i have family that are witnesses.
if i were ever df'd, then i'd deal.

You can
check-outda or be df'd any time you like, But you can never leaveI love that Blondie, brilliant!
That's brain washing for you - that religion will be with me for the rest of my life.
But say I fade from the organisation, but I never commit a sin and I live a very wholesome life (I'm really not talking about myself here, I'm a good old fashioned sinner) and say I still believe in Jehovah but I just don't do the WT bit - would I still be destroyed at armageddon as far as the jws are concerned?
I remember my father once trying to convince my jw brother that I was a good person and let a good life and that just because I wasn't a jw didn't make me an evil person, ha, ha, ha, how funny and how ridiculous!
I'm technically an apostate according the them lot, but the fact is I'm not an apostate, I am not a jw. I would obviously have to belive their clap trap to think that I was an apostate.

how about this (if he has any children)
ask if he would give his life for his child, if he says yes then ask him this:
say his child needs a blood transfusion in order to live, then would he forfit his relationship with Jehovah and save the child, therefore sacrificing his life for his childs

Hello Freegirl2006
I cannot begin to imagine what you have been through, your story is one of the saddest I have read. I thought I had a difficult time but I think it was a walk in the park compared to what you have been through. It is amazing that you have found the strength to survive and step away from the cult.
I have recovered from my breakdowns. I have made some really good friends--people who would be labeled wicked by the organization. They have been there for me more than anyone in the congregation ever was. I don't feel stressed out any longer.
This is just the best news and I hope you can continue to build your life back up and move on
I may die at armaggedon,
no you won't, none of us will. It's not going to happen but we will die at some point so make the most of the rest of your life!

Hells Kitchen USA
by chiddy inis hells kitchen with uk michelin starred chef gordon ramsey popular int the usa ,its on here now (uk) what do you guys think of it?

He's different in the USA Hell's Kitchen. He is a bully on tv here but no where near as bad as on the USA version. I think he is trying to draw attention to himself over there - sort of Simon Cowell like.
I do find some of the things he says to people fairly amusing, but why anyone is prepared to put up with it I've no idea. One episode was on last nite, a female customer came to him to complain and he told her to take her breasts away from his service area! I nearly wet myself, although she went on to destroy all the dishes prepared for one table.
when it boils down to it he's an arrogant cook who has made a fortune on the back of swearing and abusing people - nice.

Am I Being Silly?
by love2Bworldly ini have always loved accents, whether they're british, irish, scottish, australian, whatever.
i think they're so cute.
i have always wanted to date someone with an accent (of course they have to have a lot more than the accent going on).. now that i am to be divorced soon, i keep thinking next time i date (won't be for a while--i am just daydreaming about what i want) i want to meet someone with an accent.. since i don't have a lot of money to travel to other countries, am i just being silly?.

The Welsh accent makes me laugh so much, it doesn't matter what they say it sounds funny.
Whose slippers are those shoes? They put is it? at the end of nearly every sentence
The funniest film has got to be Twin Town. My boyfriends friends from the Rhonda say that people are actually like that which makes it even funnier! They even watch the film and take the p*ss out of themselves. I think they are fantasic down to earth people, they don't seem to have inhibitions about having a good time either.
