  How Clean is your House?

  how clean is your house?.

  i just love this show.. kim and aggie run into some pretty disturbing homes i must admit.

  i am certainly not on the list of the most disgusting homes but, dont have the most organized house on the street..... i like cleanliness in all parts of my home( cat litter empted, dishes cleaned, bathroom area very sanitary, floors cleaned, carpets vacuumed, garbage emptied if full, candles burning, the furniture and carpet deodorized daily, the dog has to be bathed regular, ash trays dumped and cleaned every time i finish smoking in the back room, and finally, the supper dishes must be done before i go to bed... i could not give two sh*ts if the bed did not get made properly, the kids room has dirty laundry on it or all their junk, they dont have their beds made every day, the computer desk has bills/papers lying on it, the cats/dogs food runs out of dish, there is a cob web up in the corner of the living room, ( thats a great decoration for this time of the year anyways...lol) the wires are showing from the t.v and dvd player, there are a few pairs of shoes at the door at not put away on the shoe rack, there is a coat on the back of a chair instead of hung up, and the pillows and blankets are scattered all over the couch for comfort (at night only, not during the day unless it is the weekend).

  I do my best to keep our home clean and tidy but as soon as my bf comes returns homes it goes to pieces, he's like a tornado as he goes through each room!

  As soon as he gets into the living area he dumps two lap tops, bags of shopping, shoes, coat and any other paraphanalia, then upstairs its into the bathroom and towels everywhere and the work clothes could be anywhere between the bathroom and bedroom. Then back downstairs to create more mayhem with his piles of post and keys and coins not to mention his work papers and news papers, dvds and more piles of magazines.

  I seem to spend so much time tidying up after him but I wouldn't have him any other way - he's a messy bugger but he makes up for it in other ways!

  What's with making the bed? I always pull the duvet right back during the day to give it a good airing - surely if you make the bed after getting up you give the bugs a chance to get all snuggly in the warmth?

  The Two Faces of a JW

  it always amazed me how jws can have almost two different personalities.

  it's not quite like having a double life, but it's the hypocricy of jws themselves.. i remember going to those meetings and seeing everyone with their plastic smiles, as if they were the greatest people in the world.

  but you lift the curtain of their home lives, and their true personalities come out.. my mother was an entirely different person at the meetings.

  I used to buy Christmas presents for my school mates and listen to wordly music and buy wordly magazines and watch inappropriate tv programmes, oh, and I used to do naughty things with my jw "boyfriend", he he he

  moments that were full of wonder that brought us great joy.

  sometimes those memories are connected with music or certain fragrances.

  There was a freak snowstorm in Chicago. The drifts were at least 10 feet high and my father was not able to get home from downtown for about 4 days. School was cancelled and we spent 10 hours a day scooping out igloos in the drifts as every kid did in the neighborhood. There were magnificant snow ball fights between neighboring kids. It was total abandon to play and use of our imaginations. The time was magical and surreal.

  That sounds pretty magical!

  I remember sledging with my Dad down steep slopes just missing trees - fantastic fun.

  My magical moments are just simple ones, going on long walks through the countryside with my granny or grandad. In the Autumn we would shuffle through foot deep piles of dry leaves that had fallen from the trees. We would kick the leaves into the air and my granny would join in, at the time I thought it fantastic that she acted the same way as us kids.

  On one walk we came across a blackberry bush and my gran said that all we needed was a bag - then flyin through the air came a bag so we picked and picked until our fingers were stained and grazed. We took our spoil home for a apple and blackberry pie.

  Would you celebrate a new acquaintance w/someone who was DFed for adultery? How do you view this particular sin?

  Personally no, there are many, many people who have cheated on their partners for many different reasons which include jws. If I shunned everyone I have ever met for this reason I would not be talking to many people.

  I do not agree with adultery or cheating, I abhore it but relationships are complicated and the only people who really know the situation are those involved. It is impossible and inappropriate to judge these situations. I have been cheated on several times and it cuts like a knife whenever I think about it, the pain of betrayal does not really dull.

  Although the situation with the writer is ambigious. Why is he celebrating? Is it because he has found a friend? It is because this new friend has escaped the jw cult? Or is he celebrating his new friend's adultery? Personally I think it is the first two. If he chose to celebrate his new friend by smoking dope then they are both dopes but that's really their call, they are both adults.

  i still believe in god.

  still believe his name is jehovah or something like it.. still believe that jesus is his son, and he isn't god almighty.. don't believe in the trinity.

  JH I also believe in all these things, for about 2 seconds and then I shake my head and snap out of it.

  I also wake up from a nightmare about demons and I believe in Satan and the demons - until I snap out of it.

  I put it down to brainwashing - all this stuff is still in my head 20 years on and nothing I can do will shake it out.

  To be honest I have no idea what I believe, my head is so screwed up I think I would find it very difficult to believe in anything although I'm quite keen on evolution.

  Didn't you just love the goody goody family who always brought the love back

  so the speaker at the meeting would say something like:

  "The Goody Goody family have brought the love back from the brothers at the blah blah blah Congregation in blah blah blah land"

  yuck, I felt like vomiting, the creeps! Still at least you knew they had suffered on their holiday!

  i was listening to cbc fm2 radio,they were interviewing a guy in china..he go`s over to north korea once in a while..he say`s: the people of north korea are ignorant of the world around them..all information comes through the governmment..there is only one tv station..there is little work and everyone is very poor except government officials..the funniest thing is,they are all so happy!..all of them!..they are taught from childhood they live in the best country in the world.as they have no knowledge of the outside world,they believe it...outlaw

  hey everybody, i had an interesting time pushing a tract that i don't believe in this weekend.

  i had to develop my own method of placing it without having to talk about it, since i fear if i was confronted by someone asking "do you people think you're the only true religion", i might break down and tell the person at the door "no, i don't".

  the witness at the door with me would scream in terror, and i would be insta-dfed.

  Have you ever tried pressing the doorbell button but not pushing it in? i.e. so to your partner it appears as if you've rung the bell, but it doesn't ring and you hope the householders don't hear you.

  Yes! I used to do this all the time, but quite often it was unsuccessful if accompanied by an eager dub. If there was no answer to the phantom bell they would start hammering and rattling on the knocker. There was one witness who was very partial to using her keys against any glass pain on the door, or her umbrella handle on the wood I used to think, oh just give it up will you and lets get on to the next phantom bell!

  I used to love doing tracts tho, no talking, no bible, no questions, no answers to think of - just a quick in and out, excellent!

  ..Your still an Idiot..

  it is a long way to my ranch..i mean along way..i live hundreds and hundreds of miles from any large city..the only general store is a miles and miles and miles away..once you get to the area i live,you have to travel a wagon trail that was here in the 1800`s.you`ve got to travel that wagon trail for awhile.there are a few wagon trails that split off from the main one..it`s a whole lot of nothing in every direction..if you manage to chose the right wagon trail to my ranch you still have a way`s to travel.once you get to my ranch,it`s fenced off,the gate is closed and the huskeys guard the yard..your not getting in.....what do i see when i get to the ranch gate?..it looks like a letter,stuffed into a plastic bag..i get closer and it`s too big to be a letter,maybe it`s a wanted poster for outlaw..lol!

  !..i finally get to the gate,pull the plastic bag from between the boards of the gate..it`s a 2 page pamphlet about as thick as 2ply toilet paper.it says:"the end of false religion is near!"..??

  ?..how the hell did a jw find thier way here?..were they lost?..did the dogs eat them?..lol!

  They made it to my ranch as well except there was some blood on my road way..It must have been from your dogs...

  this is just hilarious! I can imagine them being attacked by dogs and having to drag their bleeding stumps back to their car.

  My goodness their experiences of witnessing in the Canadian wilderness will be heard at the District Conventions for years to come!
