i just heard from his brother that he has passed.

several of you know that he has been fighting cancer for a while now.. oh, sac!

i am so very sorry you have left this world... rest in peace, joy, and light... your fight, suffering, and fears are put to rest.. strength and love to all who love you.. .

i ordered this book and read it a few years ago, and it resonated greatly with me.

i don't agree with all of it, but i haven't found many books that i agree with 100%, particularly those dealing with the bible.. i have recommended this book before on this forum for those questioning the logistics of the bible (genesis in particular) and i have just discovered that nate has offered the book now as a free pdf.

(incidentally, nate used to post here at jwd/jwn a few years ago, but that was before my time.).

it is a jungle out there, and it is no less true about spiritual life than any other aspect of life.

do we really think that just because someone has been meditating for five years, or doing 10 years of yoga practice, that they will be any less neurotic than the next person?

this is the impression i am getting from various threads.

of course, we won't "know" until they release the figures... oh, what am i talking about.

we won't know then, either, because we know that they discount anyone who partakes that they don't recognize or deem "worthy".
