  Hambeaks Extremely Heartbreaking News

  our friend hambeak just got the most dreaded phone call from his jw child.

  the news was passed on as he was asked for by name and not as"dad" and let known that "they" just called to let him know that his other son, brian, age 26, is dead.

  he was in a car accident.

  ive been lurking hear for a few weeks.

  heres my story:.

  i was raised in a catholic family in toronto and went to catholic schools until grade 9 (age 13).

  Chris - I enjoyed your story - & thanks 4 sharing. I am sorry you had to go thru that, but really happy, you got the courage & strength 2 walk away from the awful ORG. I would never sit in no JC MTG, b/c of the treatment by them. Glad you have moved on to positive & bigger things.

  JW Wedding - Saturday

  i'm going to a jw wedding on saturday.

  the groom is 20, and the bride is 22. .

  I was invited recently to a wedding in NY (bride 20/groom 21) - I am close to the groom & his family. Neither one is college educated, nor have a good job. A few weeks b4 the wedding, he was trying to gather money together for a deposit down on an apt. I got a call from one of his family members asking me 2 speak 2 him, b/c the groom/bride were fighting a lot 2 weeks before the wedding & the bride was always running 2 her mom for every decision they had to make. After speaking to the groom, it further confirmed that he was not ready. I really like him as a person, thus I hope for the best, but in reality, I give the marriage 3 years.

  Elders Visits

  one thing that i hear regularly is that once an individual is d-effed they are visited once a year by elders to see where they stand.

  in 8 years i have not had one visit, and they know where i live.

  is this how the elders are supposed to be?

  Hello All -

  I have not had one visit, but I told one of the elders(when asked if he/another bro should come visit), that a visit would not be necessary. I told this is where I am in my life & a visit is not going to change my mind, at this point. So far, my wishes have been respected & I am happier for it.

  a thread already got started on my ferrari web site... but i had not seen one here yet:.

  here is my post (understand that these other guys are not being very nice about the whole thing either...).

  Posted Zero hours preaching- Fading faster

  for the first time in my jw history, i turned in a slip with a big zero written in every column,.

  turned it over and wrote "zero tracts" below that, i wrote "stumbled by the co".

  sorry 2 hear ontheway out.. & i thought the CO loved all the elders/MS....but i was wrong. They don't care..In fact, most JWs could give a crap about you. All the care about is an indivdual being in attendance at the mtgs & turning in time. So sad.
