  .....i am moving to ft. mcmurray alberta and i was wondering if there are kindom halls out there.

  i am not a jw however i would like to find out if there is so that i may attend the sermons....thx

  little bit of advice keep away from those kingdumb halls , they wont do you any good , trust us, cut your lawn, bake a cake , write a poem, have a lie down,make a cup of tea etc,

  my mom was over today - she tried to steer the conversation a bit but i didn't take the bait (thanks to this board i knew she was gunning for the new tract "bad religion is bad" discussion.

  she had to go home because they were going "out" tonight - of course, i asked where.

  hey this is my first post and since the search option is down i figured i'd risk getting flamed.. anyway, i have a problem.

  this belief of not dating anyone who isnt a witness...is there anyway around it?

  anyway short of converting them?

  Just been reading the latest watchtower Nov15th and there is an article on page 67 which says that "faithful servants of god are not to date non- witness at any time, the punishment now is Public Stoning by the local elders" be warned!

  the only thing I could think he means is the foreign speaking congs where there is such a short supply of elders and servants that even newly baptized ones have the chance to progress up the wts ladder

  so, i'd been invited to a jw 'friends' house this evening, but before i went, i went out with some work mates, something i've been doing a bit more of recently.

  i told him i'd be home about 7.30 and for him to phone me after that time when he wants me to come round, so i get back about that time, popped onto jwd, whilst awaiting my phone call, got nothing, so i phoned him up a few minutes ago, and he told me that he'd discussed it with the others, and since i've been going out with worldly people so much, they want me to stop that association before they let me start associating with them again!

  i'm really fucking angry here now!
