  well there we were settling down to watch tv last evening.

  we'd all had a hectic day and i'd started a stinker of a head cold!.

  there was a loud knock at the door.

  I think your husband is right. Snubbing people is the JW way. When you can move beyond those former habits you will experience a new freedom. Thats what some of us were, now we are free.

  Five years posting!

  it doesn't seem two minutes since i first joined this site.

  on the other hand it feels like i've been here forever, accumulating about 15,000 posts in the process.. it was a wednesday (12 september 2001) on a small island off the west coast of scotland .

  in recent months i had experienced a spiritual awakening of such proportions that it caused me to question one after another of the beliefs that i'd been raised with as a jw.

  I have only recently began posting but have been reading others exeperiences on this site for some months now. After the "snap" that I experienced I at first felt lost, abused, and confused. I am now enjoying my freedom from the mind control of the cult. So many things are possible now.
  
  I have really enjoyed your open discussion of your experiences. Although my questioning has gone even farther (Bible auhtenticity, accuracy of history, etc.). Sorting Truth from Lies is a tough process.
  
  Keeping an open mind is now a primary occupation of mine.
  
  Keep posting!! You have been a friend and didn!t even know it, Now you Know.

  using overlapping tree ring patterns from dead and still living bristlecone pines shows a 100% provable climate for california for over 10,000 years thus proving the the great flood did not happen as far back as 10,000 years ago.

  this is proof that will stand up to even the dumbest bible thumping jw that is as long as they still have a brain.

What would it take for you to figure out that "sientist" is scientist with something lacking. At least you may be thinking that every thing that the media throws at you may need closer examination.   The 1964 Watchtower say's the same as the new one does. In Nothern Idaho I knew a brother that owed a sanitation business this was at least ten years a go, he was told he could not make pick up at the Chruches and if he continued he would DF'd. So he sold the business. I knew an nother brother that business in lawn maintenace he was asked to mow the three local chruches so he wrote the Society for guidance the letter that came back said if he did he would DF'd. I also knew a brother that was in construction all he did was deliver gravel for a off site church picnic area he was removed of all his priveleges. He did not even know it was against the BORG this man has never ever advanded to being a MS let alone ELder again. We are talking about the same BORG that joined the NGO's of the UN what A$$ they are to make rules like this.
