MKR:
Sorry that I didn't get to know you better. You did not seem to care for my posts very much. If we do not move forward we stagnate.
Keep an open mind. Nearly anything is possible in the real world that awaits you.
Best regards;

Worst Nightmare, welcome to JWDF. I read your post completely. You expressed many sentiments that I had about my own mil. Although my situation was a little diferent you have my sympathy.
One thing that I have found is that time is sometimes the best healer. I have also found that( like your wife) knowlege about JW history and their current dealings is an eye opener. Freedom from their control can be very refreshing.
Hang in there! Time changes everything.

I always thought that the "Watchtower Bible and Tract Siciety" was trying to make their books as nice as the "National Geographic Siciety". Another one that I always thought of was "John Birch Society".
I don't know why.
The "Truth"--- Supposedly Pilate asked Jesus, "What is Truth". Did he get an answer?

1975 "Explained" by a JW
by Honesty inhave you ever thought about the isrealites beginning to enter the promised land and how they then had to turn back and wander in the wilderness for 40 years?
have you ever wondered if there is a modern day parallel in our time?
perhaps 75 was our approach to that promised land that we then had to turn back from and "wander"... .

GB Admits It Has No Answers, Blood
by Maximus in"in contrast with humans, who have a limited life span, jehovah never feels pressured by time to reveal his secrets prematurely.
this fact should prevent us from becoming impatient when certain bible questions cannot presently be explained to our satisfaction.
"modesty on the part of the faithful and discreet slave class, commissioned to provide the christian household with food at the proper time, prevents it from presumptuously running ahead and wildly speculating about things that are still unclear.

Great information! I bookmarked this page for future reference.
skyking---------Watch out!!! mkr32208 may accuse you of not doing your own research. Besides once something has been proven to you why should you look at any other evidence???? -

Have a friend in So. Cali that had what looked like spider bite. Turned out to be MRSA. Vicious bacterial infection. Required hospitalization and skin graft. Very ugly flesh eating stuff.
Hope you are ok. See a Doctor. Let us know how you are.

Hello Gill!
I think your husband is right. Snubbing people is the JW way. When you can move beyond those former habits you will experience a new freedom. Thats what some of us were, now we are free.

Five years posting!
by LittleToe init doesn't seem two minutes since i first joined this site.
on the other hand it feels like i've been here forever, accumulating about 15,000 posts in the process.. it was a wednesday (12 september 2001) on a small island off the west coast of scotland .
in recent months i had experienced a spiritual awakening of such proportions that it caused me to question one after another of the beliefs that i'd been raised with as a jw.

Hello Little Toe!
I have only recently began posting but have been reading others exeperiences on this site for some months now. After the "snap" that I experienced I at first felt lost, abused, and confused. I am now enjoying my freedom from the mind control of the cult. So many things are possible now.
I have really enjoyed your open discussion of your experiences. Although my questioning has gone even farther (Bible auhtenticity, accuracy of history, etc.). Sorting Truth from Lies is a tough process.
Keeping an open mind is now a primary occupation of mine.
Keep posting!! You have been a friend and didn!t even know it, Now you Know.
Best Regards;
