  I for one have enjoyed the postings of Form Morm!!! Some claim his story is a fabrication. To me it rings true. If it is a fabrication this man should write a novel!!! It could be a best seller.
  
  FM, you said you got your college education at BYU. Well I got mine from Awake university. Ya!! Ya!! I know some will say that I am making it up but that was a general consensus, if you read all of the Awake mags. you would have the equal of a college education. True, nobody said what college!! My recent Compass test did indicate that I am above eighth grade level.
  
  FM's story sounds similar to mine in many respects, from a JW viewpoint. The names have been changed to protect the innocent.
  
  Oh, by the way, FM, welcome to the board!! Your postings are appreciated and are great food for thought. Keep posting and your continuing story may even convince doubters that you are legit.

  The 16 sexual abuse cases settled this year

  i am puzzled about two key factors.

  one is the fact that the victims agreed to settle out of court, and two, they agreed to a gag order.

  those two key factors there, tells me something as i am sure it will tell you something as well.

  I think that Hoping4Change is correct that if the settlement was rejected it could open them to counter-suite and at least a much smaller settlement.
  
  Also I think that the WTBTS made the offer in the hope that it would be accepted and they would not be required to reveal their lengthy pedofile data-base that they maintain at headquarters if proceedings were to continue.
  
  Win, win for both parties, but a loss for those of us that would like to see that data-base revealed.
  
  Also if the law suite hit the news and all the details were made public the rank and file JWs would all be privy to the secrets at brooklyn and probably stop contributing to the "world wide work" of paying for all of the pedofile lawsuites.
