Matt 22:23-30--no sex for resurrected ones?

the wts promotes the idea that in the "new system" members of the great crowd, who are not resurrected, will be able to marry and have children.. but what about those that are resurrected?.

does the wts apply matt 22:23-30 to people resurrected on earth?

(the passage is obviously applied to people who were pre-new covenant).

I've been told that refers to the 144'000 'annointed', not the 'other sheep'. Of course Jesus was talking to to Jewish clergy, not his disciples. Go figure.

Does the Pope have to apologize to the Muslims?

i heard today that the muslims want the pope to apologize, and at the same time i have heard muslims say that even an apology would not be enough.

a world leader of a country, has certain diplomatic concerns about what they say and do.

however, does a religious leader have these same concerns?

The Pope for once says something I agree with, and it causes a big stink.

Has anyone ever heard what John Hagee says about muslims? It wonder his church hasn't burned down.

i recently went to a wedding and the father of the bride that (re)married a (worldly) man said to me, "the only thing that i can say about raising our kids as witnesses was at least they got a good foundation.

look at our kids.

they're good kids".

Nikki, what did you sell?

I went into sales too because of fs training. I did get some critism for selling advertising matches to businesses. I now have customers for xmas cards, calendars (some have religous themes) etc.

They did help me overcome call reluctence, but I was afraid one of customers would answer the door in fs.

anybody have the bethal list of banned musicians and songs.

i remember after my sister got baptised she said that the brother who dunked her under told her not to listen to a song, i think it was "new sensation" or something like that which was a popular song for the 80's period.

i remember a lot of songs being banned because of lyrics that had nothing to do with what they thought it had to do with.

My father still likes "The Lord Knows I'm Drinking" which Cal Smith did in the late 70's I think. He enjoyed "Peace In the Valley" probably because it one old gospel tune that did conflict with JW beliefs.

things that used to bother me within the organization.. for example, the time that the organization use to.

absorb, it seemed that i gave more than i received.

As a high school grad in 1974, being told higher education was a waste of my time

Being told secular ambition was a snare of Satan

Not being allowed to date until I was marrying age AND being able to afford to be married first

No friends outside of kh, however no one my age was at kh

No hobbies that required time, fishing only after fs, but fishing was best in the morning

Maintaining "Unity" in beliefs, not 'leaning to your own understanding'

Not trying 'to make a name for yourself' yet seeing Selena, Prince,Mickey Spalane, Venis twins and others hit the big time in sports and entertainment

Listening to wt study and they all basicly preached more activity in fs as the answer for everything

I was at one of my customers ( a bar) sellieg them news years decoratios and party hats for their new years eve party. They decided to have one that year.

i've been attending an independent church were the women wave flags, play realy loud live music, speak in tongues (not me) and alot of other thingsi never saw in kh.

it realy feels weird, but have closer friendships than in kh.

I always felt the tongues at pennecost was to spread the gospel to other nations, that tongues were actualy foreign languages. I never believed it was just to show a manafestation of holy spirit.

This group did show scriptures were Jews and early Christians very physicaly involved in worship, not just taking a seat and listening to speaker giving a verbatim sermon.
