What's the most stupid comment a JW told you?
by JH ini remember when i was new in the "troof", i was walking in a mall and a jw window washer saw me, and asked, "what are you doing here"?.
yeah, he had a good reason to be at the mall, cause he was washing windows, but i had no business there.... i guess he thought that i was being seduced by material stuff.... and i was stupid enough, not to tell him, mind your own business fu**er....

divorce question
by depressed inmy soon to be ex-husband's father is the presiding overseer of the congregation and his entire family is very spiritual - including my husband's sister and her husband who serve in gilead.. to make a long story short, my husband and i used to serve in bethel but eventually left.
we moved around the nyc area where we both took on full time jobs, pursued our four year degrees, and led pretty successful lives.
i left the organization, because i was tired of gossip, etc and half of my family was disfellowshipped.

I agree with Dave, and you should be able to ask for a neutral (or at least one without conflict of interest) judicial committee. You may have to 're-activate yourself first

Just think, the original American Standard used Jehovah over 3,000 times. The revised American Standard took it out completely mainly because clergy had trouble tying Jehovah to the trinity. ( ot has countless verses about the 'oneness' of Jehovah)

The Christmas Star
by praiseband injw literature tries to persuade us that the star was actually sent by satan to guide the evil magi to the site of jesus and his family.
yet, the bible tells us in genesis that god was the creator of all the stars in the heavens.
nowhere that i am familiar with does the bible state that satan made any of the stars or any other celestial object.

I was 'taught' the magi were really astrologers, that the 'star' moved. It went to Herod, then Bethlehem and the trek took about 2 years.

How embarrassed were you to be a JW?
by exwitless ini, for one, was often embarrassed to be a jw; i always felt guilty about that, because it was always drilled into us that we should never be ashamed of our "religious heritage".
well, it's really hard to be the only one at your workplace who doesn't celebrate christmas, birthdays, etc.
it just draws so much unwanted attention to you, like when people try to tiptoe around certain subjects in your presence.

What I hated was in my senoir hs year, had about 14 other jws as classmates. It was a vo-tec school which may explain why so many were there. If I would have thought more about it, I would not have ID myself to them and could have just been myself.

What can they sue me for? I don't have much money, my jw parents were talked out of helping me go to collage ( my parents did encourage trade school in 1978 ).
What grounds could they sue for? I could expose more, plus all I have to say is that I BELIEVE what I wrote. I'm not condoning violence, vandalism or other mischief
