  Does It Bother You That Some Posters Give Misinformation???

  i don't like the fact that at times, false information is disseminated here.

  where's the "big announcement in october"???

  or we hear that the blood issue will be changed or that something big is going to be happening at the next assembly.

  You have to understand. The Faithful and Discreet Slave is so anxious to see the end of this system of things that they look for ways that we can focus on it, expect it, keep our eyes on the prize. Sometimes, they release information which causes us to speculate before the full understanding is unveiled, causing readers to run ahead of the information with, later unrealized, hopes.

  The posters at JWD, in similar fashion, know that the above statement (or very similar ones actually in print) is crap. They are so anxious to expose the Governing Body (not the FDS, as they are powerless) that sometimes they run ahead of their own information or rumors with high expectations. You cannot really hold it against them, because the WTS taught them to be that way.

  YES, I wish people would slow down before telling us more EXCITING news. The GB does that and it is always the same old nonsense.

  uh, hey guys, i was kinda wonderin' what you all think of a woman for president here in 2008?

  i like the idea myself... in another thread i said "i noticed that i found myself more sorrowful for military funerals then i used to be, and i am finally starting to see christmas as an act of love, and not so much a disobedience to god's ways.

  i often thought of how jesus took the pharisee's traditions and explained how they were evil, because of how they were being used.

  Feel free to write a book anytime. Most will read it, some will scan it. It always helps others
  to see some others with similar problems.
  I have the "aholic" personality, so I don't drink, drug, gamble, etc. All I can say is that I will
  have an easy time avoiding DF since I also am a faithful husband.
  I need to take my own advice, because right now, I am a JWD-aholic. I need to switch to
  overindulgence in exercise and hobbies. That will help.

  As far as "shoulda, coulda, woulda" I try to focus on what can be done, not coulda been done.

  Even though they no longer say they wish that apostates could be killed, they anxiously perpepuate that attitude for family and friends, meanwhile teaching children (and adults) that Jehovah will kill them later.

  I was never mindless in my studying. I just wasn't using the mind the proper way, so I was fooled.
  I questioned lots of stuff while studying, but got answers. I should have looked outside the org. to
  verify answers.

  Up until 1995, I believed everything, but was not really presented with Old Light/ New Light conflicts
  before that. Since then, I doubted and studied better, but still promoted WTS teachings. That
  makes me feel more duped than ever, doubting and still teaching it.

  Special Assembly 2-Day 2,000 delegates and TWO baptisms!

  just got back from the special one day assembly and had to share this important info.

  only two baptisms today; two girls about 15-16 out of 2,000 attendees.. i stumbled more than two with my anti-witnessing.

  i posted un expose material in the bathrooms along with pre and post nov 1995 1914 generation belief.. incidentally, attendance was down almost 25% over last year as well.

  discourage (or even prohibit) humanities, psych, philosophy. logic, religion and critical thinking courses.

  They do discourage these. It would be easy to turn up the heat and discourage them more, even if they started encouraging education.
  I still don't think they are going to do it, my CO discouraged higher education recently.
