Society goes nuts--yet another "special" campaign for September!

in an earlier post here http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/114651/1.ashx i noted the society's "special campaign" for september, an "awake" magazine dedicated to the topic of evolution vs. creation.

there is a "special campaign" to highlight that magazine all month.. got a call from our po last night.

there is going to be yet another "special campaign" in september -- a new "kingdom news" tract.

The title to the campaign is NOT titled "false religion end is near" or anything like that!

about the remark I read about the 70's tract campaigns: In the 70's a small group of witnesses thought the end would come in 1975. However, the WTS and a large group of true witnesses did NOT preach that or even think that. It was just a small group of morons calling themselves witnesses that did. when the end did not come like they thought it should, they left the religion, None of Jehovahs Witness Literature ever said anything about 1975 being the end.

Since 1914 we believe we have been living in the "end times" so of course tracts and brochures and literature says IT IS Coming. When? who knows the bible says no one knows the day or the hour. But, Everyday we wake up is a day closer. People all over the world no matter what religion they are, they think the world is headed for something big. As far as the comment about babylon the great fell back in the early 1900's. It did fall,* but can't get up (which means major world religions no longer could keep witnesses from preaching) but "babylon the great" is not yet DEAD. The death has not come yet, but it will, The Bible says it will someday, God does not lie, God is not one to be mocked.

just to clear up the 70's remark, for those of you who heard the witnesses were sayingthat the end was coming in 1975 that is true, SOME witnesses did say that however, the WTS and most witnesses did not. a small percentage starting saying that they believed the end would come in 1975. This was not a Jehovahs Witness teaching. When the end failed to come, they fell away from the religion and started their own or became apostate. It really irks me everytime people bring that up. It clearly was not a Jehovahs Witness teaching it came from man. & those that came up with it are not witnesses!!

How funny!!! I go door to door & love talking to people like you! I usually answer to all of your little snide questions with your own copy of the Bible. But when I show you what the bible says, the usual response is "well, I dont believe that." One man tried to stump me with a question when I answered him all he could say was , "Good answer." Even though I knew he was playing with me I still wanted to help him find accurate knowledge about the Bible.

I dont believe for a second that someone came to your door and couldn't answer your questions. Believe me, we know when you people are playing your little games, But maybe one day you might turn around and want to join the truth again. Remember the angels applaud when even one human returns. Have you ever wondered if people treat us so bad why do we continue in the ministry? The same reason Jesus did. We don't do things because the organization tells us to like we are mindless puppets, but we do them because the Bible tells us to. If we were mindless puppets we would go along with the world. But with God, Jesus and all the Angels on our side, who is man to try to harm us? You people seem real bitter for some reason, But those that preach have never been happier. Oh- I have a story for you, While out in the ministry one day this couple saw us approach their house and thought it would be funny if they acted like they were having sex, (loudly) as we knocked on the door. I was going to wait til they were done & knock again but the older witness lady with me grabbed my arm to leave. I told her, you know they were just acting don't you? She said had she known that she would have kept knocking, I said come on, NOBODY is that loud. Then we laughed.

It was just a white-trash thing to do but I am still going back. It is kinda like this, If you do not want to talk about the Bible nobody is making you. We go to the doors out of love, to give a warning, (like Noah in his day). So that no one will be destroyed. If you knew a storm was coming wouldn't you want to be warned so you could prepare?

Maybe Interesting Blood News

i had a meeting with my heart surgeon yesterday, and after informing him of our faith, my wife still holding onto to parts of the organization, the dr. said that, "there is a new form that just came out last year from your mother church in new york.

" what this document does is (1) make it clear that the person is not allowing blood to be used, (2) makes it clear that the dr. will have a court order ready in case blood is deemed medically necessary to sustain life and (3) absolves the person's conscience of any guilt if it came down to it.

i'm not sure if this document has been discussed before, but i thought that it was a bit intriguing.

This is a document from the hospital not the WTS. Since the Doctors do not understand how the Bible talks about blood (how sacred it is, to abstain from it, to not take blood into our bodies in ANY form) then they think if THEY come up with this little document for you to sign you will do it, It is not from the WTS. The WTS has not changed any policy on blood because GOD has not changed his commandment he has given us through the BIBLE. It is the Bible that tells us to abstain from blood not the WTS. If your Doctor told you to abstain from Alcohol would you think it would be ok to get an IV full of it through your veins? Same thing.

The hospitals try to trick us all the time, they even tried to get my friend to sign papers after they had already drugged her before surgery telling her it was other documents she need to sign, had her husband not read it, who knows what would have happened. The point is, is that if a person wants blood, give them blood, but if a person doesn't want it , respect that person's wishes. I find it interesting though that transfusion-medicine specialist do not like to give or get blood. There are so many problems with blood being mislabled and not screened good enough the Red Cross is getting fined millions of dollars. That story was on CNN news 2 days ago. One doctor was quoted as saying " Any patient who recieves bloodless medicine is, in essence, the recipient, of the highest quality surgery possible." So when you think about it, Jehovahs Witnesses are recieving better treatment than those who accept blood. Blood from another human is like a transplant and shouldn't be taken lightly. I have an aunt who got a blood transfusion in the 70's & got Lukemia, an uncle on the other side of the family got hepatitis C from a blood transfusion in the late 90's at the VA hospital. I mean, come on have you ever seen the kind of people standing outside the blood donar clinics? ICKY !

as a follow - up to dansk's thread on the jw male, i was looking at a bit of info in quotes, and found this bit of crapola from the august 22nd 1967 awake, which gives "reasons" why the man should be the head of the woman:.

All of the magazines I have read have never said the Male is smarter or healthier, etc than the woman. It is a simple matter of THE BIBLE (remember that book) says the head of the woman is the male, the head of the male is Christ, the head of Christ is God. Our mags have all said that the woman is a compliment to the male. Since most of these people are not members of the congregation though I dont think anyone would be wise to take any information they got from these people about what the Jw's teach and believe it. I can see the forums are not for Bible discussions, only crap-a-ramas.

i believe i have a good chance of winning this lawsuit.

the watchtower lawyers are defendants and have tried three times to have the lawsuit thrown out and have failed.

Maybe I did not read your other post correctly, Didn't you say the lawyers were working pro- bono? if so why do you need to ask for donations? As far as lawyers working pro- bono they usually do it to to make a name for themselves, not because they actually care for you or think they can win the case, Examples; the Menedes brothers, Scott Peterson, ... just to name a few.

How exactly did the Watchtower Society kill your child? It seems silly to acuse the WTS of murder. That is like sueing the Catholic church because your child ate a wafer at communion & died of an allergic reaction from it. Although tragic, if it was a belief to follow that course, then it was a religious right to die. Whether you THINK it is wrong or not. No one ever wants their child to die, it is very painful to say the least. However, the Courts usually intervene and get a court order to give the blood anyway. But out of all the times the hospitals tell you that your child will die if they don't have blood , not one can prove they will live if they do get it. My brother is a true example of that, they refused blood for their 2 year old daughter, the hospital got a court order that said the child would die without blood and that she would PROBABLY live if she got it. After she recieved the blood she went into cardiac arrest and died, after several attemps they got her heart beating again and she finally made it. but what she really needed was a pediatric balloon to pump for her heart & oxygenate the blood & to give her heart a rest.

We do believe the Bible, and it clearly says to take blood in any form is detestable to God.( LEV 3:17 17:10, 11,14; Deut 12:16;23) Also the Bible gives the COMMANDMENT to Abstain from Blood. (Acts 15;19,20,29) If a Doctor told you to Abstain from alcohol then would it be ok to inject it into your veins through an IV ? That is why we do not take blood transfusions. Since we follow the bible to the letter, and the bible is Gods word & God is the one telling us to not take blood into our bodies (not the WTS) then Maybe you would be better off sueing GOD.

I sympathize for the loss of your child, but It would be very surprising if the court rules in your favor.

Why no Kingdom Ministries???

when i was disfellowshipped, the elders told me i could have copies of the watchtower and awake and any publications for bookstudy etc, but could not have a kingdom ministry...does anyone know why that rule???

The KM is for those who are preaching. If you are disfellowshipped you do not receive one, or if you are inactive and YOU ARE NOT PREACHING you do not receive one, why would you want one anyway if your not interested? Seems silly to be griping about it when you don't want one anyway. As far as newbies, they usually don't come to those meetings since they are not preaching. If they do start attending those meetings someone always offers theirs so they can follow along.

Intellectual dishonesty in the New Tract !

in reviewing the new tract i noticed some interesting dishonesty within;

on page three when the wts is describing 'false religion' riding on the back of the scarlet colored wild beast - they coyly refer to the beast as ' the world's political powers*'

- the footnote reads " * for a detailed explanation of this subject, see the book revelation - its grand climax at hand published by jehovah's witnesses.

I don't know why everyone is so CRITICAL of this tract. EVERYONE knows, or I assumed everyone knew the the worlds political powers are the UN. I will put it simply... who makes up the UN? Answer: most of the worlds governments. I can tell you what is in the updates in the new Revelation Book. The "old" Revelation book gives references to older watchtowers, (since the book came out in the late 80's) for example at the end of a paragraph it will say *for more info. refer to June 1982 Watchtower. Now however, it says *for more info. refer to 1999 Watchtower. My My,what a change!! Its almost as if they re-wrote the whole book isn't it???? But of course how would any of you klnow that unless you attented a KH. It is the same old crap of slamming witnesses & no one knowing what they are talking about, I am simply saying, before you post please have the facts correct. & also, the matter of asking for $8.00 for CO's. This is a one time $ 8.00 amount. to help cover expenses, in our district the co's stay in apartments. Since they do not have a secular job someone has to pay for the expense. There was a vote involved, ASKING if we WANTED to pass the resolution that each one give 8.00 (a one time deal) we all agreed to do it. Could you imagine though if you went to some other church for your whole life and when they passed the plate around you only gave $8.00 one time in your life? But yet if a witness gives a one time 8.00 amount, we are looked down upon, but like I said, same old crap.... Hope I cleared the matter up with all of you though since you are soooo worried about the WTS going broke.
