The Reasoning Book is Inspired
by Thirdson inthat is what 2 jw ladies who came to my door recently told me..
to start at the beginning, periodically, these ladies have called and spoken to mrs thirdson but always on a week day.
mrs thirdson is always very polite and has accepted the mags saying that i might be interested in reading them but making it clear that we are christians and not interested in joining their religion.

#4 talk this week, on what to say when JW's are called false prophets
by DaCheech ini was ready to pee in my pants, seeing that this talk was going to blow the lid off.. well, the brother did admit that "we" have made predictions that did not come true.. but, he excused the watchtower saying that many religions, make false prediction.. only jw's show the fruits of god's people.. amongst many reasons, this circular jw reasoning made us look like we are the shining star of the world.

What still gets me, is that when I was still 'in' I would accept that reasoning as gospel, and not give it another thought. Conditioning of the mind.... I am going to see my JW parents soon, and I can just see them gloating that they are right and I am deluded with my thinking.

This is my name, I was a witness, and this is why I will never be again.
by wanderlustguy inthanks to this site, not only am i free of the mental imprisonment, but i am also free of the fear that the society used to keep me and others like me silent.. i am not a witness anymore because the truth is not what we are directred to think it is.
once we allow ourselves to think, it is clear as day that there is no real basis for anyone to take the title of faithful and discreet slave.
there are folders and lists which contain the names of pedophiles who were never turned over to the proper authorities for their crimes.

Well said Donnie. And I salute you for your courage to 'go public' like that.
One day I will join you, but for now I need to fly below the radar as long as I can. I have faded and my Pres Overseer dad, and JW family don't shun my family....yet. Hopefully they will escape too.

1, The 'Truth' is 'Current Truth" Can be changed, thus its only an opinion (Thank you V)
2. Deny Jesus bodily resurection - biggie, 'because if Jesus had Spiritual resurection, he was lying while speaking to Thomas/apostles.
3. Don't take care of the widows and orphans.- Christian requirement
4. Do not baptise into "The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit" Instead baptise you into the orginzation
5.The symbol of life, blood, is more important than life itself. - blood guilt on the Borg's hands
6. Lies, false propecies and cover ups.
7. Mexico/Malawi -
8. The Borg blaming the rank & File, for having "wrong expectations", when they (Borg) gave them those expectations.
9. Disfellowshipping, The most un-christian form of punishment.
10. Taking Jesus place. Cant get to the Father through Jesus. Nope. You must stay close to Jehovah's earthly orginization. So, what does Jesus do meanwhile?

JW splinter groups..
by fb130 ini was just wondering.
has the idea ever been brought up of a group breaking away from wts & forming some sort of reformed jw church that isn't so controlling.
like lurther & the catholic church.

Too much control by the Governing body. The fear of being called apostate is probably keeping those with 'breakaway' ideas in check. It has happend in the 1920's I think, did not last

In my hometown in Gauteng a similar situation developed aprox 20years ago, maybe more. The baby needed a blood transfusion, Bro Elder and his wife said no. The courts stepped in saved the child's life.
About 6 months after this incident the same Bro Elder (with Healthy child at home) becomes the society/congregation representative with hospitals, 'educating' doctor's of how JW's and blood transfusions must be handled. Every JW in our congregation that went in for a procedure or surgery, had him in tow. Some time later, when an 8 year old JW kid got hurt in a car crash, he was there, 'strengthening' the family and talking to the doctors. That child died by the way, not sure if the blood transfusion would have saved her life or not, no way of telling now, huh?
I knew her well, as she was in our bookstudy group, and my sisters friend. I did not like the fact that this lovely kid had to die, but I just accpeted it as the way Jehovah wanted it. It was not God after all, the scripture is clear on the value of life. Never did get on with this a-ho....erm, elder after that. My mom needed surgery last year, and this idiot was there again, I almost lost my cool when I saw him walking in to the ICU. Had to keep it cool as my mom is still a raving JW, and I am flying below the radar... almost bit my tounge right off....
Well, I am delighted that the SA courts acted in favour of the patient! Bravo!!

EMPTY KINGDOM HALL
by thebigdebate ini have heard from my father (who is an elder about 50 years old) that there is a great seperating work going on within the org.
he said that almost all of the people my age 25 to 35 have quit going to our hall (about 20 people).
i have not been to a meeting in about 1 year.

In Cape Town South Africa there seems to be growth. I may be wrong, and I am not about to go and check in with the congregation either.
About two years ago there was second kingdom hall built in the same neighbourhood. I think there are three congregations here in this suburb alone at the moment.
It appears that the rot is setting in in the WTB&S back yard first. Africa and other countries where the population do not have access to the internet seems to be growing.
Praying that it will all fall apart very soon.

Witnesses ranked number one, with more than a 20 point lead over Mormons, as the religious group least likely to tolerate another point of view.
Only 16% of Witnesses responded positively when asked if it was possible that “many religions can lead to eternal life.”
16% of JW's interviewed are in serious trouble if the Borg finds them LOL.
I suppose its not a suprising report, knew it for a while now. But still very interesting. Thanks for the link. Now if only I can find a way for my PO dad to read that report.....
