  What was your final straw that broke your back in terms of doctrine?

  as ex-mormon, my exposure to a different version of the first vision story which was quite different from the offical first vision was my beginning way out of mormonism.

  what about you ex-jw's?

  what, in terms of wt doctrine, made you realize that the wt is a fraud?.

  How the Society can almost drop 1914 and STILL retain their authority

  they can have the best of both worlds.

  it would be quite easy, with a bit of imagination, for them to simply adopt an interpretation of scripture similar to the seventh day adventists belief about 1843. the sda's teach that since 1843 jesus has been engaged in an 'investigative judgment' upon christendom, having entered into the 'inner sanctuary' of heaven (or something to that effect) on that date to receive special authority to do that.

  jesus since then has used the sda's as his favoured group of christians.

  When do you think the civil war in the U.S.A. will break out ?

  i am begining to think it is more when, than if now.

  i think if it isn't over the removal of the bush.

  then those 30% of people that never wanted him to leave will try to either force thier neo-conservative agenda (facist borderline nazi) or suceed the union (again it's mainly the same people in those idiot southern states that want him to stay)(by the way yes i'm in one of them and yes they are idiots and so am i).

  Michican, Idaho, east Oregon, east Washington, and west Montana I agree totally. That's wear a lot of the guys go when the hit some wealth or want to flee something. I hear Colorado, and Wyoming are starting to see more texans and the natives( relitivly speaking ) hate them because of simular feeling to mine, and texans can't drive for sH**!

  Yes I do atend meeting illregularly. No I do think god( jeehoober ) will destroy the earth ( man maybe, well just the abilty for him to live on it ). This has nothing to do with the end times, just a major change in the geography of north america( maybe the world ). This could be a bloodless ( reasonably )civil war ( a coup de'ta ) I hope atleast.

  What do you think?

  Think I am wrong O.K.

  Oh and the civil unrest has started remember congress switched over because of civil unrest it's just not hot yet and may never be hot. I am just saying that it looks like the us is gonna split sooner than later. If the bush thing doesn't get it than the predicted dollar crash might, or I could be totally wrong and it last nothing happens.

  my reason for this thread is to provide a bird food backup source growing up jw da birds were big.if i misbehaved as a small child my adult jw family members would 'put the fear of jehovah in me' by reminding me of jehovah & da birds.

  Sorry, not everyone here is an idiot. but, There is more than the fair share in the south.

  Mobil, I live in south east Texas basic nazi, skin head,( yes, they are nazi's too )and KKK territory heck we still have several segragated kindom halls. It shocked me going to help out repairing one (I asked why they where not getting a new hall. Then I started to notice a trend in the local bros) This shocked me, I am from the panhandle of Texas which is more like Oklahoma (intergraded better, not perfect though)and from a military back ground.
