  Why won't JWs have "civilized" debates with home owners?

  it seems kind of crazy to go to someone's house touting your religion as truth and then not even defend your own beliefs.

  why do jws stop the chat if someone just tries to calmly reason/debate with them?

  i'm not talking about crazy preachers who start slamming bibles and yelling about how they need jesus or something.

  Well simply put they have an internal conflict about talking to those that doubt in the first place as sometimes they are trying to fight for something they don't believe in anyways but are forced to fight for them.

  Conspripts go throught the samething when they are forced to fight for something they don't really want they tend to be the most fierce fighters in combat. That is of course when they aren't defecting.

  Does anybody seriously believe Solomon was "great"

  Depends Solomon of the bible was clearly a myth. The actual person he was based might have been a great figure. This was typical for the time one culture has a great king ruling. So another one say we had a much greater one in our past and then proceed to copy the current ones feats only adding on to them.

  they did everything wrong they could, and then some on the big xbox one reveal.. talking about going bust i have been seeing xbox fan boys saying it's over already and they are getting ps4s.. if you know anything about that part of nerdom, ms xbox fans are beyond die hard loyal fanatics..

  One if you buy used games or share for that matter you must by a fee for each game to Xbox. You must pay for Xbox Live even if you don't play online and it must be connected to the internet to play again even if you aren't going to play online. Then they are forcing you to use Kinect which can't be shut off (BTW it has a camera which can't be shut off either) so it's a privacy problem slash headache in waiting. Then add to it the system looks like an 80's VCR.

  WTS sending "English teachers" to China?

  hello all, from a newbie.. i haven't been inside a kingdom hall since 1999, so i'm not up to speed with "organizational" stuff.

  i still get curious, though, since my mom and sister are still active witnesses (but don't communicate with me).

  the other day, an old friend from my former congregation (she's the wife in the only family who will still talk with me, even though i was never df'd) came by the house, i assume while making a return visit.

  You think that's bad read about all the break away JW groups post cold war in the Eastern bloc. Once they got a hold of the new light on the meaning of the superior authorities they basically said what a lot here have said. Mainly that the GB as turned apostate and sucessfully started their own breakaway sects. Though I can't blame them for not taking it well, as they lived and died by the old light for decades.
