  Can JW's run the New System without worldly people?

  i get a chuckle when i watch that show on tuesday nights as it portrays what would happen the the world, if people should all dissapear.

  since jw's are only 2/10% of the world's population and almost zero% in many countries the infrastructure would rapidly decay.

  There wont be any wordily people around except the ones on the ground getting pecked by animals and birds.

  So its a non-issue.

  Nevertheless god will provide all that will be needed.

  Feeling Unfit, Fat and Unhealthy

  a semi-serious request.. i hate exercise (yes i am an indolent slob), i sit in an office or a car most of the time and eat and drink too much.

  so my new year's resolution is to lose weight (about 3 stone would be good) to try and prolong my life a little since i ain't got eternity in mind anymore.

  i am looking for fun ways to get fit, or an effective home based diet programme that has worked for other people.

  You can start by taking a vigorous walk once a day, get to know your neighborhood a bit more

  or walk to the grocery store to pick up something light.

  Take a bike for a spin to a place of interest, pretend your new to the area and go explore.

  Thats a good start once you've toned up your lower body perhaps join a gym

  or visit your local public athletic facilities.

  Good analogy Terry, far too many people have climbed aboard the Watchtower Corporate plane to fly off to paradise only to

  self destruct on-board at the hands of the pilots, namely the GB and the other past presidents.

  "The Truth" terminology exemplifies the strong vivid indoctrination that people go through by the WTS.

  and is just another of the vast wording used to control the members thinking.

  Now why would anybody leave or not want the truth, how illogical !

  So where do you do the research?

  ok so i'm really trying to figure out what i believe about the bible, god, religion, etc... where do you research or find something to study that isn't tainted with someone else's beliefs or opinions?

  this might be a dumb question, but i seriously don't even know where to start.. .

  Wife love-bombed...HELP ME!

  i thought the fade was speeding up and there was light on the horizon for me and my family.

  then yesterday my wife gets love-bombed and is ready to go back to the dubs.

  i'm angry, cynical, depressed, disillusioned, you name it.. i don't know what to do for her.

  This is reason why I think its harder for woman to pull away from this cult,

  love bombing works well on their emotionally charged thinking, setting critical thinking skills on the back burner.

  Mind you love bombing can work just as well on men but then tend to be more analytical.

  Now is the time to pull up your socks Mad Sweeney and take a stand against corruption.

  there is a huge difference between an opinion and a false teaching.. what if it could be unambiguously demonstrated that a teaching is not merely opinion but a false religious view passed off as absolute truth in the name of a higher authority?.

  with the imaginative desire to channel this spiritual deity down to select individuals.

  The WTS. themselves say they are tuned in to the correct channel to receive this divine spirituality.

  I say they aren't tuned in on the right channel at all, but they're cashing in irregardless $ .

  C T Russell sold himself to the public as a divinely inspired messenger of bible truths and knowledge.

  In reality he was inspired by his own publishing company and self propagating religious ideologies.

  A religious charlatan of his proper time.

  Is there any difference from the WTS. today ?

  None whatsoever .

  The religious publishing company has just changed hands over and over again and nothing that it has ever said came true.
