I'm with Terry on this for I have witnessed this myself when I was still close to this organization.
A few elders in my hall decided it would be a great idea to broadcast a half hour preaching program on a local
television network. They did so for a few weeks, one of the elders was actually a employee of my father's business,
the word was that the Circuit Overseer heard about this and they were instructed to stop it.
Perhaps it was being too open and uncontrolled and unapproved by the WTS. for it to happen.
Yes its true the WTS does not like being overly exposed to the media, operating behind a veil is the
way they like it, for it offers them complete control and obscurity from close analysis.
i found this on my "friend's" facebook wall.
he posted a comment on how encouraging the daily text was for a particular day and this was one of the comments he received....some people should not be allowed to use illustrations...... .

I kind of think this redemption policy created by God and Jesus wasn't really such a great idea,
informing people that they have a personal redeemer may effect people's social psychology and their level of responsibility to one and another.
I wonder how much wrongful things mankind has done complacently with this ideological concept in mind,
for the past 2 thousand years, I'm guessing quite a bit !
it is too easy to get sucked in to the wrong argument at the wrong time.. asking the wrong question leads to the wrong answer.
a wrong answer does nobody any real good.. i once had a heated discussion with an old friend who is still an active jehovah's witness.. he came back at me with this:.
"okay, then--if jehovah's organization is a false religion, where is the true one?
And this why men want to cut themselves out a slice of that delicious god pie to self empowerment,
all you need is a little aggressive daringness.

The sad and unfortunate situation that may occur out of this an elder that doesn't want to risk losing his appointed position
in the congregation may actually persuade to keep the son or daughter away from them at a distance just for that reason.
The fact unfortunately too is its many times its immediate family members that have a positive force to change a individuals
behavior.
Image is important, very important.

Its all about and concerning the organizations outward image within the organization itself and outside of it.
Individuals who have appointed positions in the congregation are seen and are supposedly made exemplary to the rest of the congregation.
For an example if an elder as a teenager whose taken on a drug problem and is incapable of living on their own and has to stay
with their parents, this looks terribly bad within the congregation and presents a bad image to the rest of the flock as it were.
So what they're saying is that that elder should have his appointed privileges yanked and taken out of the spot light.
Mustn't bring reproach on the god's organization you know.
we do well to bear in mind that among the drugs, serums, vaccines, surgical operations, etc., of the medical profession, there is nothing of value save an occasional surgical proceedure.
their so-called "science" grew out of egyptian black magic and has not lost its demonological character.... we shall be in a sad plight when we place the welfare of the race in their hands.

The WTS and the people leading this organization took on a self imposed position that they are very unique in the world
and sold themselves in this way. The tell tale of this untruth is their constant tripping over themselves bullshit that
appears over and over again. The food at the proper time is tainted and the new light is invisible to anyone else accept to themselves.
For anyone whose just interested in the JWS and WTS. they should read the past quotes from their literature such as Terry
has pulled out for them to see the real light of reality from this bogus/corrupt religious organization.

2. respect g-d and do not blaspheme his name.. .
And when they do they'll say it was New Light or Jehovah's Spirit.
You might be right about that but the forethought in doing so would and could cause
the occurrence of many law suits levied against the organization. It would be interesting nevertheless.
If they did you can best assume prior to doing so that they would carefully examine the situation with their lawyers.
Then the matter once again is created involving the organization believability status.
Religious organizations like this operate on creating belief in the organization itself, therefore change
and reversion of doctrines is very problematic to pursue.
What sort of kick back by many long time JWS might actually be the worse part of this doctrinal change.
