  You know the scripture that says "the truth will set you free"? Well....that refers to truth in the Bible....not what we were taught by an organization. Also...The Bible says if we lose family members for the sake of his name...we will gets those back from him? Well, we are a family here to make up as best we can for those we have lost. I have recently just found that since I was ready and willing to really pray and leave it to God to lead me in my research...I did get "the proper food at the proper times" from God! I have an 8 year old still in the religion and living with her dad, and it is truely heart breaking....so I really feel for you, but keep on going and keep on praying. Life does get so much better and your kids need to see that life goes on and it gets better when you are free!

  Thank you both for your thoughts and insight. I do tend to think with my heart only....and this is too big of a life long situation that we would be getting ourselves involved in. My husband says since we have 4 GIRLS...that this would probably be the only boy sperm he would ever end up having! LOL! (but....that would break his heart)

  A little back ground. My husband and I have 4 kids all together. My 8 yr old lives with her JW dad, since I couldn't get her when I left the org. My hubby has a 6 and 3 year old that are with their mom who is a extreme baptist and we are going to have to take her to court to get to see them, since she hides or leaves when we go to get them.....

  So, we know what it is like to have kids you don't get to raise yourself. Now, the question is...we have neighbors that are lesbians and have been together for 10 years. One has a 13 yr old daughter, who I spend time with after school, and is delightful. They are trying to have a baby, and it costs so much each cycle....over 3,000 dollars. My hubby and I threw around the idea of donating his sperm to them. We would sign papers to give all parenting rights to them, and he would have no responsibility to the child, though it would be know that he was the donator. Would you do it....and why or why not?

  whats the funniest comment heard from the audience during a wt study/book study/service meeting?.

  we had a young retarded kid in our cong , who had his hand up for every single question , usually the bro would take his comment as he would just say "jehovah" but this time he takes the mic and starts this long winded comment rounded off with"satans going to cause a civil war!

  There was a young child( 3 or 4) raising her hand and when the conductor called on her it was obvious that the mom had no idea her daughter had her hand up and was about to comment......when the mic came she took it real close to her mouth and said "poopy-butt-head".....Her mom looked SHOCKED but everyone was cracking up!

  Then one time during a study of the "Creation" book, our reader was not a real good reader....and we were reading about the baby Kangaroo in the pouch looking for the mothers "teat".....well....when it came to say that word he stuttered "t"..."t"..."t".... TIT....It was so funny but no one really wanted to laugh, and everyone was trying to hold it in!

  i went to a ex-jw's potluck the other day and it will be my last time going.

  there were about 20 ex-jw's there just bashing the watchtower society for 2 hours.

  i had all i could take and left.

  I know what you mean about wanting to be around happy people....it leaves you with a good feeling. However I think the main reason that makes it hard to get over being upset with the JW's is the effects that are still are going on in a-lot of people's lives. I am disowned by my mom and my 8 yr old is being raised as a JW. I deal with things regarding the wtbts every day of my life....but I do leave it in Gods hands to help those still being brainwashed and try my best to not be bitter and angry.

  What do you do when a old Boyfriend wants to meet up for dinner........

  we are just friends and we talk maybe 3 or 4 times a year, just to catch up.

  well today, actually 5 minutes ago he said he was going to be in my area with in the next month and wants to have dinner.. i don't see a problem with it.

  i haven't seen him in years and it would be nice just to meet up for dinner and some laughs.
