like the trinity cannot make sense because 1+1+1=1 doesn't add up...right?

I am still AMAZED at how much I have learned and keep learning
by megsmomma inthis board has helped me so much in clearing my head and becoming myself.
i feel like i used to be such a shell of a person......and when i would hear the things the wtbts taught....i just numbly took it in and didn't really even really "hear" what they said.
then, i was so well "trained" to respond to questions from people that i could give the "right" answers to questions from studies....."wait on jehovah...." being a common one.. after i left years ago...i still wasn't free from the teachings.

That's good therapy! I have a pentacostal church across from my road. Every time I come or go from here I think of my JW moms comment to her friend. When she was here to see my baby (a few months ago) she had made me so upset....telling me she'd disown me and baby if I didn't come back....that I told her she had to leave and she called her JW friend to get her. My hubby told her directions, useing the church as a turning point....and my mom said to her friend..."That makes sence, huh?" Oh yes....the church must be sending out SATANIC vibes to all within a 1 mile radious. (I think that is the pentacostal range...right?) Anyways I smile when I see the church!

Here's a silly thought.
by AK - Jeff inby mutual collusion we could drain a little money from the wts coffers, and perhaps stop them from making that convert they seek.. plan;.
every apostate here that is unknown in his/her territory by the local witnesses, shows interest in having the wts literature when they come around the next time.
don't carry on much conversation, just take all the lit they will give you and show enough interest to get them coming back.

I was going to try to be that "easy" call where I would just take the mags and ask for them to leave them if I am not here when the tract came through....but I did not even have enough time to answer the door and they pretty much ran! They rang once and took off...I'll bet the tract was in the door before they even rang...LOL!

After I left years ago...I still wasn't free from the teachings. I still "thought" like a JW....and I was always worried that I and all the people I love would be dead soon. I didn't understand why I couldn't go back....I mean I live a good life and I don't care if I had to give up holidays, ect. I mean IF it really meant my life...I could give them up....So, I never understood why I wouldn't.
Now....It seems that my whole brain (and heart) works together and I really have never been happier or loved myself so much. I am such a better person and I don't feel like I live in a pretend world anymore. Wow.....thanks everyone for being "guides" on my journey to myself! And anyone starting out on this journey.....just keep reading and researching....the freedom is great!

Why would this even cross my mind?!?!?!?!
by Juniper inwell, after 10 years of being together, hubby has decided that he's found his 'soul mate' (the second time this year, neither of which was me) and is moving out.. i'm thirty years old and no kids, thanks to the fact that i spent 12 years in full time service telling everyone it's better to wait until the 'new system' for raising a family.
that's all beside the point - and perhaps better suited for my counselor.
:) anyway, the thought that keeps going through my mind is "this never would have happened if i didn't leave" and "how am i going to find someone to spend my life with at this age and who will understand me the way an ex-jw can"???

There is soooooo much hope for you....your only an ol' biddy at 30 if youre a JW! And....think of the "good brothers" that are left for you to choose from at this point....**SHUDDER**....There are so many men out there that will love you and understand your past. I guess the one thing that is so different with dating in the real world though is that there are so many choices....and not everyone believes the same things....like robots. Have fun with it.....I was divorced from a JW at 24 and at 30 I remarried my best friend. We only knew eachother a year before we got married...but we really clicked. Good luck!!!!!!!
