  i was just researching some things and saw an article scan from 4-15-88 watchtower.

  it talks of an unrepentant "wrongdoes", like a son who was a drunkard and glutton, and if he was unrepentant when brought before the judges, his parents would have a part in executing him.

  my mom had said to me last time she was here..."it's a good thing we are not in bible times, you would be stoned!

  Again...thanks so much for the support, understanding, and for being able to relate and have compassion.

  Anyone with moms like this are welcome to join my mom in the "OFFICIAL STONING PRACTICE SESSION" The location and date will be coming out in the next Kingdumb Ministry. My mom looks forward to it, and can't wait to join up with all the other true dubs to show off her great faith in the borg.

  adopted Teenagers want to leave jw home

  i have an aunt who is a witness.

  she adopted my 2 kids years ago.

  the kids are now 16 and 17 and have been shunned by the kingdom hall because they spoke up and said they do not want to be witnessess.

  That is really sad that you and your kids are going through this. It sounds like h@ll, living with an abusive elder.I am so happy you are their mom and you are trying to get them out. I will be thinking of you and praying....sending good vibes.

  When going door to door, what comments or questions made you think?

  a jw and his wife have been coming by every week.

  i started out from the get-go saying that i would listen because i had an interest in all religions and would like to learn the jw beliefs just to know that they believe.

  this is a very good learning experience because it makes me evaluate what i believe and why i believe it.

  I think it is great that you are trying to help "your" JW! I could write some things, but there is a web-site you could look at to help you get some knowledge.. http://www.jwfiles.com/index.htm It shows alot of things that they have taught that are very off. Din't be disappointed if the witnesses stop coming to you after you talk about some of the harder issues. Their purpose is to get you to convert, not to learn something from you. But...you may be very usefull in planting a seed that may bloom later. Welcome to the boards!

  Fluff: Any one know how to make cookie-cutter cookies?

  i've recently had surgery and with all the expense and the time i am going to miss from work, my family and friends have agreed that we will exchange home-made items only this year.

  i would love to make cookies for everyone.

  the gorgeous cookie-cutter kind that you decorate.

  Roll the dough out 1/4 an inch......and try to get it even or the thinner parts will burn. I did this sugar cookie project ONCE with a bunch of lil girls....What a mess! The majority of the cookies were not one bit pretty! (I was trying to make cute pretty little tea cups and suacers..all decorated pretty....sooo time consuming) But...thet tasted good!

  Need some decorating advice

  i have been in my townhouse for 3 1/2 years now and still no pictures on the wall.

  i have a 10 x 14 living room small , beige walls and carpets living room furniture is new green sofa and loveseat wooden tables i can't seem to find the painting i would like over the sofa.

  my living room and dining room adjoin and get little to no sunlight.

  Well, what you can do is take 3 canvas's...and pick 3 colors (you can use the stenciling paint at w-mart) Then paint each one a differnt color and hang behind the couch. If you are pretty good at art, you can paint 3 cavas's the same color...then do a couple wave designs that flow through all three pics with different colors. (my hubby came up with that idea and I painted it...I just drew 3 rectangle shapes on practice paper and drew out some waves till I thought it looked good...I also painted a few squares here and there on the canvas for something extra)We have each canvas about a foot apart, so it takes up a big wall, and it looks cool.

  I have a neat idea....How are you with artstic abilities?
