New to this Site
by prodigal_son ini have been a disfellowshiped joho (what i call jehovah's witnesses now) for 7 years and i still find it hard every single day!
i have just recently reunited with 2 of my 4 sisters who have taken a stand just like myself!
i encourage anyone who is struggling with the decisoin to leave or not to leave, but beleive me and the countless others, it was the best decision of my life!!!

My wife is PREGNANT!!!!

How exciting! Now, if she is like me, she is hoping the doctor says...."Wow....you didn't know?? You are 6 months preggo already....Wow, you don't show much and this pregnancy is going to go by really fast!" LOL!! Congratulations!

My mom just called
by Elsewhere inmy biological family has been shunning me ever since i daed back in 1998.. my mom opened by saying that she's been thinking about me lately and then we chatted a bit to catch up on news.
i told her about my toilet training my two cats, my recent nose surgery, my running and how things are going well at work.
she told me about how my dad had a medical issue come up in july and how it was treated.. normally my biological family will only contact me when someone dies.

It would be great to hear of family members coming around because of the "new light" and changes going on "inside" the org. I hope she thinks about the years she has missed and what she is missing, and comes to her senses!!

I forgive him, and I wish him well. I know he has a-lot of good personality traits (that we saw in "Linda") and I think he can turn his life around by focusing on the problems he needs to deal with to become a complete person. I think everyone who threatens him has their own share of issues that need to be looked at.

I was once told I looked like Leann Rymes, and the "chubby" Dixie Chicks gal (Natalie). I think it depends on my weight and hair cut. My husband looks slightly like Keifer Sutherland (I think that is his name) Really though, we are both very average :)

How do you react.....
by restrangled inwhen you see someone needing help in a public place?
i usually avoid eye contact, but then feel guilty all day.
for instance when you pull up to a light and people are standing there with a sign or actually walk up to your window...i won't ever roll down a window.. today i pulled into the local grocery store parking lot, and there standing with a walker, was a middle aged latino man with his lower legs in some sort of braces.

I usually try to "ignore" people like that too, especially since you see shows exposing con men that beg for $$ and are really living well. One time though, in Las Vegas, I saw a man with no legs sitting on a bridge/walkway from a casino to another. I stopped and talked with him then got him some water. I couldn't afford to do anything else...but, I really felt bad for him. I guess I feel like there are things in place out there for these people to utilize....and they are responsible for seeking them out.
I also hate having to go by the people outside the doors of Wal-mart...selling things for their cheerleading group, or other group. I really never have cash on me to give them anyways, but, I always feel guilty for avoiding them too.

Purps, I was thinking about this too, that it is almost as if I was reading a book over the past YEAR. I actually never have seen a picture of "Linda", yet if you asked me a week ago if I knew what she looked like, I would have had to think about it...because in my head, I have "seen" her. I guess he does deserve an Oscar.
