ten pounds in ten weeks
by Hortensia inso it's january 1 and i want to lose ten pounds in ten weeks.
i've been on a diet for a year and a half and have lost 130 pounds.
weight loss has slowed down, so i need more focus and more exercise.

I will join you in this endeavor...I am looking to lose 40 lbs over the next 6 months. I am going to try to go to the gym 3-4 times a week and eat healthy. Do you want to share what we eat and what we do for excersize daily?

I am having a bad day
by Vivamus init is wearing me down.. my constant companion in life, my skull-breaking- mind-blowing- daily migraines finally got the better off me six months ago.
i broke down, i cried and cried and cried.
not only cuz of the pain, but more for the fact that painkillers were not helping me anymore.

I am really sorry you are not okay....and I don't think it is unreasonable to not appreciate life when it is so painfull. I wish I knew what to do to help...I can just hope this passes for you and these migranes go away. (((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))

JW family doesn't see me, but got together with my ex....WTF!!!!
by babygirl75 injust need to vent.... over the weekend, i let my 9yr old son go visit his dad and then he had to be back home to spend x-mas eve & x-mas day with me.
so anyway...i call to talk to my son on his cell and he tells me he is at a friend's house playing with his two cousins.
now the two cousins are my sister's kids and they live in atlanta.

I know EXACTLY what you are going through. My parents PAID for my ex and his wife to fly to OK with my daughter (who is beiing raised as a JW and lives with them). They have a boat there and they all went out. I was so mad because you JUST DON'T DO THAT! When I brought it up, their excuse was they wanted my daughter to be able to see her cousins and have all the grandkids together...problem is....their other grandaughter was home with me. I guess they don't count her. When I was just out to visit my grandparents....my parents didn't even come see me or my youngest daughter....and they were only 3 miles away. It is so sad and infuriating!

Circuit Assembly This Weekend
by united states of nothing inwell, i went this weekend and there were a few key points that i thought were pretty interesting.
one thing is that we are not to use the word 'society' any longer.
i don't know if anybody else has heard of this before but i wondered what the reason was behind it.

Need some of your help
by superman ini'm currently still attending meetings and am "considered" to still be in good standing.
i've cut back on how much i go, because to be honest i really don't believe any of it anymore.
some of it i do still believe is true and legitimate, but most of it i feel is bs.

It does seem that fading works for some...untill you deciede to do something you want to do that doesn't go along with their doctrine. (which doesn't really have any basis on living right...it's just their hard, fast rules) Then, if they want to boot you out, they can. I think it is hardest for "younger" people to take that route, because you may want a girl-friend, or you may want to go to a x-mas party. then, it all depends on who is "watching" you. There is no other answer though if you want to remain close to your family....and that really stinks. I sooo wish I could "take back" my childhood baptism too. I wish there was an easy answer....there isn't. Just remember....freedom is a wonderfull thing.

My issues, including those related to JW past, affecting my relationship...
by feenx intoday i am at a loss.
i am in the midst of writing my life story and though it so far has been extremely therapeutic it is also bringing out some demons.
it is now really starting to affect my relationship with my gf.

I am sorry this is getting between you two. I think sometimes as x-JW's, it seems we go through things "others" outside of it cannot possibly understand. There are the "common" issues...ones that people of all backgrounds understand (like abuse, and issues during childhood) and then there is the whole deal we all have with exiting a cult. I think your GF likely understands you more than you know...but, maybe you wish she would fully understand MORE of it...and that may not be possible. Sometimes people who havn't gone through it cannot really see how much MORE of a burden we feel we carry.....but, that doesn't mean she is at fault. I think you should be happy she is relating to you as much as she can...and go to other avenue's (like this board...or a cult exiting councelor) for the parts she can't relate to.
I hope this helps...and remember...there are times you will feel like you are progressing great...and then there are times you will feel totally deflated by ll of it, and that is normal. ((((((((HUGS)))))))))))
