It's called the Stockholm Syndrome dear. Get yourself some counseling with someone who is trained in cult mind control, if you can't find anything else that helps you.
Anytime we are attracted back to something/someone who has been abusive to us, we need to get some answers and some help. Tere are lots of places and ways to get it, just GET IT!!!

I've been getting emails from persons I am reasonably sure are JW and they are all saying the same thing.
I am beginning to think that there is a hope..a slim one, but still a hope...that the WT post-disaster stance is going to backfire on them.
WT needs no help from apostates...they hurt themselves all by themselves.

i thank goddess & god every day that i didn't succeed.
at that time i was a member of the jehovah's witnesses cult.

before i get started on what i'm afraid will be a lengthy post, i just want to say a few things.
this may not be the appropriate forum for me to post what i need to say, but i hope that all of you will be understanding and supportive of how i feel.
i've been lurking here for quite some time and have even been brave enough to make a few posts, so i feel somewhat comfortable expressing this here.. perhaps i should discuss my background a bit before getting to the heart of the matter so you all can understand where i'm coming from.. i am a late 20-something former jw, never disassociated myself but completely stopped attending meetings about four or five years ago.

I think in the long run JW's aren't going to use this disaster for anything. By the time many dedicated people get the word out about the JW's post-disaster reactions, JW's aren't going to dare bring up the whole subject for fear someone may ask...what did YOU do?
