sharon like her sister janet was also raised a jw.
she left the religion three years ago just about the same time as robert and janet.
her husband is not a jw but did attend the occasional meeting.
Just to let you know: there are people who care, who try to understand, and have been working for a long time to help anyone we can. Even just to listen. Especially to listen. There are people here with open emails, phone numbers, addresses...people who want to help!!!

A lot of JW's do that, and sometimes in groups too. The Society has been aware of it for some time, so you will be questioned if several JW's meet quietly either before or after the Memeorial.
Yes, you will be questioned most likely. If you let them, tho. You can tell them you need more time before you 'discuss' it, that will hold them at bay for a little while.
But evidence seems to exist the Watchtower is panicking over the increase in partakers (You go guys!!!) and I have personally seen elder 'swat teams' formed, especailly if a couple different new ones partake the same year, like happened at my hall. They both wound up df'd in a very short time over dumb-ass things. I hear this all the time.
Just stay out of their way; "I need more time to pray and consdier things becasue I don't have words to express myself' or some such thing.
The one good thing is that really they might be too busy dealing with private scandals within the congregation, or the biggger Watchtower scandals to deal with you and people like you. Here's hoping....

If your mother is over the age of forty with a few years in the org, I wouldn't rock the boat. Can't you just tell her YOU have a 'calling' and leave it like that?
This is the one day a year the Watchtower 'lets' the JW's celebrate anything;let her have that. Besides, if her child is a partaker, she might be a little proud of it....good for you!!!!!

why two tests for the "other sheep"?.
i could never understand the reason why the society believed that those destined to live on earth had to go through two tests.. one at armageddon the other at the end of the thousand year reign of christ.. if they have been tested as to loyalty at armageddon why is a further test needed.if armageddon is not a good enought test for christian why have it at all, why not just have the final test?.
also those suppossed to be gong to heaven don't have an test.the get ressurected as perfect beings without going through armageddon or the final test.does that make sense?.
