It feels good to know that you/we are NOT crazy, that the crazy things experienced have a scientific explanation....learning and knowledge are the best defence against fears.

does anyone remember the brouhaha over lecithin in candies and other food items?
i remember one sister writing to all the manufacturers of these products to inquire whether or not the lecithin was from a blood source.
there were even lists of products to avoid that were circulated in the congregation.
you guys are fast

Here are some informative sites about lecithin....
the jist of what I've gathered from the idea of the "power" of positive thinking is that you get back what you project: not in the sense of "if you're a negative person, then you see everything negatively," but in the sense that "if I just throw out these positive thoughts, project positive feelings, then, in some 'magical' way, these will reflect back to me." It's almost like "creating" something, simply by thinking it.
Does that make any sense?
Hmmmm,
I always try and see things from a scientific perspective, so I dont think that anything can come about just by thinking it...(hence why I had a problem with praying for anything! I never had enough faith to believe that god would just do stuff for me simply because I asked himto... when I prayed, I prayed to thank him and tell him I was sorry for being such a sinner!)
I think that positive thinking can only help someone, and that negative thinking can only hinder them....
but I also think that without action, NOTHING will happen either....we cant just thinking positive things, project positive feelings, and then things fall into place.
I believe, life is what YOU make it. Happiness is a choice.
positive thinking does have some power...it gives us the incentive to keep going...
does that make sense?

abr,
all humans dream, every time you sleep, you dream, you simply are having difficulty recalling them.
if you did not dream, (REM sleep),you would start hallucinating during your waking hours.
Here are a few sites about lucid dreaming, and what vitamins helps us to recall our dreams.

onacruse,
when I think of the term positive thinking, I am not thinking of wishful thinking, or pie in the sky dreaming...
I am thinking about how having a positive outlook on life in general makes one a happier person, or at least, a less crabby person...
I live with a person who's entire outlook is negative, everything bad that can happen, WILL. the glass is ALWAYS half empty.
I like being realistic, so if I dont think that something will work out, I dont expect it to work out, but I work towards making it work out, and I keep an open mind about having a positive outcome. If it doesnt work out, it doesnt, I try to not let it get to me, or make me upset, I just move on...
does that make better sense?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis
It's quite normal, many people think that demons are attacking them, there is often auditory hallucinations, visual hallucinations, and physical hallucinations...
I've experienced very scary sleep paralysis, I heard this deep loud voice (like that of a demon) it was shouting Jehovah in a very menacing tone, the very real, very scary sensation of large hands around my throat, and the feeling that i could not move or speak. it was absolutely terrifying, especially so since I had no idea that this was simply my brain doing this....I was only 19.
got this poem sent to me and wanted to .
since theres only one day, .
and this is my day.
Ke,
omg,
whoever wrote that is deeply brainwashed, every word that comes out of their head is all about meeting, meetings, meetings, and judgement, judgement, judgement!
Junction guy,
Great poem!!!
very well written.
That dub poem was just sickening to read......puke.
Awakening...
I was like a wave on an ocean
tossed without direction
thought it was my faith windswept
it was my trust that was shaken
realized that my doubts had reason
logic was my only course
yet wondered if i was lost forever
to the loudness of their words
their rules i did follow
their pious gaze on me
to be humble was what was preached
but meekness i did not see
they followed obediently
like good sheep they be
Jesus said be more like him
i only saw hypocrisy
where was this love
that they so professed?
where was the unity,
the consistency?
appease your fellow man,
follow his rule,
woman be silent,
and give men their due
put in your hours,
put in your time,
as long as we see numbers,
you're doing fine
be humble & sheeplike
echoing in my head
dimmed to a hush and
I woke up instead
