I have a B en Q flat panel monitor. Great picture and colour quality, built in speakers that sound pretty good for their relatively small size if you dont already have speakers. I paid about $100 one year ago for the 17'' size monitor.

I was preggers also. Cant remember much else....
I did not find JWD until 9 months ago, and lurked for about 4 months before posting.

Hmmmmmm, didnt know that was possible but i can just see the FDS / GB / WTS taking advantage of that.....a fresh new sheep brain, with no outside knowledge - perfect!

Love is felt and it is also demonstrated and communicated with actions or with words.
There are different ways that love is expressed and felt, we all need it one shape or form.
love is practical, it is not the same as lust or as infatuation, it is based on knowledge about someone, when you get to know that person, and you appreciate their good qualities and attributes.
love is blind
example, your loved one gets badly burned and is now severly deformed, your love doesnt change,they are the same person within...
love is letting yourself be vulnerable with someone, and letting them inside your head
love is thinking of that person when they are not with you...and missing them.
love means being happy for the other person's happinesses, and sharing their sadness or pain
love isnt possesive or jealous or fearful
love takes trust....
love needs nurturing...without actions and positive feedback, love dies.

that article reminded me of what it was like for me growing up
my dad's favourite bellowing rave was this: ''I'M THE HEAD OF THIS HOUSE!'' I dont remember why he used to yell at us so much, my mother was the meekest of all JW wives...she never once stood up for herself against him. It wasnt until about 3 years ago that she put his clothes out in garbage bags on the front porch (while he was out screwing yet another woman) and changed the locks.
I always argued with my mom about the society's counsel about headship, I told her, it makes men like dad take it to the enth degree. They view it as total permission to do as they please to their families...they dont see the parts about not to be abusive, they only see DOMINATION is OK. She would always say, well that's the counsel from the society, so it comes from Jehovah, I am being obedient to Jehovah.
glad she woke up and stood up for herself, it only took her 35 years to do that...

worst week in my life
by Hortensia inlast monday my husband, a nice guy, after ranting for a bit about terrorists, came over to me, to kiss me i thought.
he hit my head and then started to choke me, shouting "be healed.
" i managed to get away from him and he kept yelling "be healed" and saying that i was bewitched and had put a curse on him.

Hang in there! You have been thru hell and back, but you are a survivor...I hope they get to the bottom of why your husband suddenly became psychotic.
getting some theraputic help with a professional would be a good idea for yourself to do...keep us updated, we are all here for you

and none of them are buying this crap anymore. I do feel a tragic loss for the ones I leave behind. But hey, hope

I have hope that this is the case, people seem to be waking up, even though there are those still deeply entrenched in it, maybe the WT's cracking down on the control will wake those people up...

Did you have a favorite food at the assemblies (when they sold it there)?
by kitten whiskers inhubby and i got on the topic last night.
he was wondering what i was eating- a frozen jello pudding cup.
i remember getting them at the assemblies, especially the hot summer district assemblies.

I loved the soft ice cream cones we used to get at the ass embly hall in Astoria, Queens. Boy, that brings back memories.

Hey, we had an awesome icecream stand in our assembly hall too! The best soft icecream ever, and you could get chocolate or butterscotch sauce on it!
I was a teen when they had it!
We all were sad when they removed it to make room for more seating for when they implemented the take your own lunch rule.
I LOVED the frozen pudding! and the frozen danishes! those were the best, ahhh GOOD CONVENTION MEMORIES...once they took the food away, it just wasnt the same!!!!! the conventions SUCKED after that.
