  Have you ever saved a life?

  when i was about 11 years old me and my two(not so bright)sisters were at a hotel swimming pool.i was sitting by the pool watching my one sister(we will call her k) that could barely swim herself teach my other sister who was terrified of water(we will call her b) how to swim.they started out in shallow end swimming underwater when b went off course and ended up in the deep end.when she came up she started panicing and k went over to help her.

  b grabed on to k pushing her under water and then k paniced and pushed b under trying to stay above water.they did this cute little routine for a while (up pops k down goes k up pops b down goes b)if it was'nt so life threatening it would of been hilarious.

  (i did start laughing...at first)then it got to the point where i knew i had to do something because they were getting ready to drown...they were swallowing tons of water and there was no time to get help.

  In 1983, a boyfriend I had went to bed with a wad of gum in his mouth and fell asleep, in the middle of the night he jumped up on the bed realizing he could not breath, the gum lodged in his throat, so I got behind him and gave his upper stomach a good squeeze [Heimlich-manuever], and the gum shot across the room! So, that's how I saved his dumb ass!!!!!....rocky220

  do you know why so many people are leaving the "truth"?

  it's because they all figured out that they really were going to die.

  once a witness understands that millions now living will indeed die, they begin to regress from the witness spirituality.

  I hate to knit-pick, but isn't it inappropriate for a JW woman to be alone in an apartment with a man who isnt her husband, even if it is to evangelize???????? Wasnt she suppose to be with another JW to accompany her, ex-con or not????? I'm sad for her death, but she did not observe WT rules, or for that matter did not have COMMON SENSE????!!   i attended the sad in brooklyn this weekend and thought you might enjoy some of the highlights.. the morning began with two "telling" illustrations.

  watchtower: Pimping you out to the world!

  just venting before i go to work.

  i was thinking how watchtower has to be one of the biggest pimps of peoples minds and bodies in the world.

  #1 they have their people go out and "perform" or "do tricks" with peoples minds and emotions.. #2 they have their people go out and bring in the "masters belongings", warm bodies, their money and a lifetimes servitude, with watchtower the "master"!

  methadone clinic next to Toys R Us

  i was just reading an article in the seattle times about a new methadone clinic that will be set up lynnwood, washington.

  lynnwood is quite literally, across the street from me and most of my shopping/errands are done there.

  this is the first i have heard of it and i am surprised it hasn't been more newsworthy than an article in the wednesday edition of the seattle times.

  The only way that would work is if the clinic had security guard on site to keep people who finished inside moving right along, enforcing strict no-loitering policy, some ex-addicts are trying to get back to "normal" constructive lives and deserve an opportunity to do so. Shopping centers always have security for the regular no good for nothings so that should work.....me thinks...rocky220

  the visiting co pointed out in his talk that "people who love to practice evil will be destroyed [very strong vocal emphasis on this word] !

  " many of you insist he is referring to those whose only "sin" is not being a baptized jehovah's witness and their children.

  after my experiences on the internet from ajwr to h2o to this forum, however, i'm beginning to appreciate that all is not "black" and "white" but many shades of gray, many hues of stunning colors, and a mixture.. why not use the words killed or executed to describe the fate of these evil people, i asked the co afterwards?
