  When I was a little girl I had a pet turtle. I loved that turtle, oh how I loved that turtle.

  One day when I came home from school I looked in the little turtle pond and lo, my turtle had died! I was heartbroken.

  My mother seeing how miserable I was, got a Lipton Teax box, put the turtle in it and then took me and my sisters and brothers out into the yard where we proceeded to have a very beautiful burial for the turtle.

  To this day I remember that funeral as one of the most beautiful I've ever attended.

  ALL Time FAVORITE Vacation Spot?

  as the summer nears it's end and the parents hurry up to get the kiddies ready for back to school, i think of: "what get-away will i plan for next year?

  " i didn't get to vacation this year but will most likely be vacationing somewhere far away from texas next summer.

  any favorite vacation spots you might recommend?

  The Compulsion to Confess

  i have been a compulsive confessor.

  Hi Refiners,

  I never, ever had a compulsion to confess. On the contrary, I'm like Beck and never confessed anything. Oh, I know that we were always encouraged to confess our sins to the elders, but I could never see the purpose in that. What did I expect them to do anyway but show me scriptures and I already knew all the scriptures. So looking back I know that I avoided a lot of grief, because if I did anything wrong it was between me and my God.

  I MAY HAVE HIT BOTTOM

  i thought i'd hit it several times before...as i have been thru the divorce over the past couple of years...lost all my so-called friends...lost my belief in what i thought was the "truth"....and now my own loving daughter, being the good little dub she is has told me she doesn't want me to walk her down the aisle at her wedding.

  she told me today at lunch.

  i almost threw up.
