Poor sweeties. Feel better soon.
we entered fairly early, the elders had decided that since i refused to sit in the back, the family had to arrive first and leave first.
this was to ensure there would be no condolences.
well, the elders did not get their way.
Hi Viv,
I am so glad that everyone was nice to you. It's makes a difference when we are grieving that we have support from others.
You can make yourself nervous about the speech if you want to, but the beautiful part is out of your hands. You were born that way!
what can i say ...... except i felt a little "strained" after reading it.. hawk.

woman (50) kills would-be rapist .
Justifiable homicide. Good for her.
the deeper you look into, clearer picture is emerging that god had not any input in these writings at all.
there are many verses, even whole passages which exist in some editions and in some they do not.. he evidently didn't supervised writers or copyists and we have plenty of evidences of that, his name in nt included.. since gospels of peter or thomas are not regarded as valuable and important documentations of jesus' life, only one conclusion comes to my mind.. as a moral guide the bible is an excellent book, written by... men!.
highly recommended!.
Aesop's fables are also a fine moral guide and teach quite good lessons for those who want to live unselfish, productive lives. I like some of the fables in the Bible, but I also appreciate Aesop.
believing himself invisible, man robs banks
tehran (reuters) - iranian police are looking for a phony sorcerer who conned a man into believing he was invisible and could rob banks, the jam-e jam newspaper said thursday.. customers at a tehran bank quickly overpowered the deluded robber after he started snatching banknotes from their hands.. appearing in court, the repentant thief said he paid five million rials ($625) to a man who gave him some spells and told him to tie them to his arm to become invisible.. "i made a mistake.
i understand now what a big trick was played on me," the would-be bank robber was reported as telling the judge.
hahahahahahahahahaha
Dork!
it may not be the main problem or the only problem and i do agree that this needs to be treated as a criminal issue, but let me give you a very good example of why it is important for a problem like this to also be taken care of congergationally.. my father in law dan fitzwater sr has now been taken care of criminally.
( no thanks to the wts) he is in prison for child molestation.
he has been abusing children for a very long time, but he is only serving a short time in prison.
Welcome to the board Bruce. I enjoyed reading your post very much.
Thank you.
.
probably not, which is a sad indictment imho.. englishman.
Hi Englishman,
I think that if he really loved his wife and felt a genuine devotion for her he would want to spend time with her instead of taking the time to prepare for talks and meetings and all the rest of it.
However, maybe his wife was the Lady MacBeth type and it was her wish that he gain power and prominence. In that case he would probablty advance very quickly.
thoughts and questions.
your viewpoints will be appreciated.
thanks.. using the 1999 wt cd-rom, i did a search of watchtower articles containing the jw catch-phrase, "thousands are disfellowshipped each year...".
As a hard working witness it's hard to imagine that you could be disfellowshipped and so reinstatement has little or no meaning for most.
However, the prospect that some of our brothers and sisters, people we knew and respected, could be disfellowshipped, puts us on warning that it could possibly happen to us too. This knowledge could serve to make most witnesses determined to work even harder so as not to join their ranks.
over the years i have had several collections, ranging from louisiana bottles, (this collection was stolen); books relating to la.
which i donated to a library; books by or about jws, which i gave to another library; a stamp collection, which is at my sister's house.
my florida related stamps are now on exhibit at the state library of florida.
