  Why couldn't I have been a Mormon?!

  i watched the first part of the frontline special on mormons last night and i just visited the website.

  mormons are so much cooler than jws.

  they have a bloody history, pride in their ancestory and their temples are beautiful!

  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  grrrrr frustrating day today..........loads of annoying stuff.....worst is.... my wee mum hasn't been able to eat properly for around 14 weeks...(since mid january)due to her cancer treatment...weird to see her wasting away....she cant even eat a soft boiled egg without bringing it back up due to narrowing and scarring of her oesophagus...she is practically living on cup a soups and bovril ...the medical care she has (or hasn't) been receiving is nothing short of atrocious....so I'm feeling totally helpless and frustrated at my impotence....(not that impotence)!!trust you lot....he he...I mean at not being unable to do anything for her....anyways...thanks Emo for the vigil you have each week...much appreciated from this part of the cosmos...and I have all others on the list in my prayers and thoughts....keep going folks!!!....only good thing is my wee mum loves our kids and I love to see her interact with them...anyways..rant over ...off to work again....I think I need a few Guinnii later......da ninja

  Missing someone... badly

  brigid took a weekend trip back to where she moved from to visit family.. i know it's selfish of me, but i miss her very, very badly.

  i have never missed anyone so badly in my life, other than my son when he visits his mother.

  and it's only been three days.. it's very lonely here without her.
