OnTheWayOut,
great advice. I won't be caving on the conscience matters any time soon. I enjoy POV murder simulation (gaming) too much to stop now. jk.
Um, do I feel better about it? Not yet, the things she said about me really bothered me, and I feel like the issues are still there, just under the surface.
So now I just feel sick to my stomache all the time. I've also considered blowing my cover, laying out all my problems with the org. Just jumping off, you know!
Question? how do you tell her about the news stuff without telling her you got it from apostates?

What were you praying about before you left the JWs?
by MegaDude ini was earnestly praying to serve jehovah and give him my all.. in short order i found i was heading toward the unthinkable.
i was on my way out of the watchtower and the only life i had ever known.
pretty ironic.

I would love to hear from anyone who grew up in the truth and is gay
by Ragnarökkr inhi.. after lurking for a number of months i have decided to join in and hopefully connect with a few people who will know what it has been like to grow up as me.
i left the truth a number of years ago for two reasons, one of which was my sexuality, which i knew to be unacceptable to my brothers and sisters.
since then i have alone in my isolation, hopefully through this site i can rectify that.

A guy I used to know in JW is gay, but he's sortoff crazy so we don't talk anymore. But I know he had a really hard time, when the elders in his hall found out, they grilled him on the gamut of sexual questions including (Brace yourself) - Do you ever think about animals? - Do you ever think about children? I was like WTF??? Do they really equate homosexuality with that stuff. come on! So they treated and continue to treat him like garbage for something he can't help. BTW, do you still think it's "the truth?"

what's feminine indictment??? I don't know that and I'm one of the "bad dubs" that went to college! lol
Most of the facecrime occurs when i hear stuff that I know is BS and I have to keep from cringing or laughing. Usually during public talk or in service. -

What was the reason why you were never made an elder or Ministerial Servant
by twinkletoes inthe reason i heard constantly by the elders, as to ones spiritual progress in the organisation was, .
"brothers are appointed by holy spirit.".
if this is the case, why is god speaking to himself when he says in 1 tim 3 v 6 .not a newly converted man, for fear that he might get puffed up with prideetc.. to re-iterate if god appoints elders, why would he give himself this advice ???.

You have to "reach out for it"
In other words, Kiss Ass and play JW politics. I won't do this just to leave later on meeting nights.
They claim that FS time is the #1 but I've been above the average for the last year and no MENTION of MS. Not like I mind :] -

False religion's reaction to FALSE RELIGION tract = )
by FlyingHighNow income on, like they care.
my nephew and i talked on the phone this past weekend.
he told me that the new tract on false religion was going to cause big trouble.
-
StillGroggy
The only thing that's changed since distribution of the Tract is that it's being used more often than Newspaper to line birdcages.
Yet JWs are bracing themselves for "persecution" and think it's a real big deal. But then again they (we?) think that anything having to do with us is a big deal.

Sirnose, its a fight against facecrime constantly:
"Facecrime (an indication that a person is guilty of thoughtcrime based on their facial expression)"
Bubble, I don't think ill be living a lie for long, 6-9 months I think. After those events I believe that Darth Frosty is right. A showdown is coming, and probably sooner than later.
Brenda, you didn't jack the thread, I think your comments are right on point! It did seem like a denial statement. All JWs make these. "Im not brainwashed! No-one's abusing me!"
truthsetsonefree, wow, that's some endurance. Good for you.
theListener - I think as most zealous JWs go, my wife is not that judgemental. BUT, being a zealous JW Forces you to be judgemental about "conscience matters" that the FDS turn into rule (R-rated movies, M-rated games, college, myspace, etc.) So your on point. I will consider this
I did discover during the argument that my wife still judges me for our differences in "conscience matters." I don't watch R-rated movies (to be on the bandwagon), but I do play M-rated games and haven't budged on the matter. She mentioned that I had a whole bunch of things that offend her! (Isn't it hard to be married to someone who actually uses their conscience!)
I guess me not taking a dump all over myspace was the last straw!!!
Funny, I feel closer to you all than most JWs I know, and your comments display a true concern for my situation. Thank you!
