  CHARLTON HESTON IS DEAD.....

  just heard this on cnn.......poor guy had been battling alzheimers for the past 5 years.

  he was 84 years old.

  i remember the first time i saw him in ben hur, during the chariot race.

  Great actor!

  I liked him in the Bible flicks, but he was also terrific in sci-fi's, like The Omega Man and Planet of the Apes.

  I hid my Led Zeppelin music, but I remember my mother making me throw out my Queen album. Apparently the group was demonized because supposedly if you play "Another One Bites the Dust" backwards, they say, "I love to smoke marijiana." Hell, I tried playing that song backwards, all I could hear was static and I ended up putting a damm scratch through the song!

  Oh and I also heard that the problem with John Denver was that his "Rocky Mountain High" was a druggie song...

  i have never really looked on the jw's "official" website but i did today and i was looking around and noticed a lot of topics of today that are on debate are found on there (obviously) but why am i not surprised of how much effort goes into the topics?

  We are taught (straight from the bible) that LORD=God and Lord= Jesus how can that cause confusion?

  Great point!!! And what the WTS doesn't tell us is that there is absolutely NO proof that the Tetragrammaton or the name Jehovah ever appeared in the New Testament. They only feel that it was removed. Which is why the name never appears those 237 times in any other transanslation of the Bible.

  This is the day you were born...

  so this is the day that princess daisy boo entered the world, 30 years ago.. last night, my mom called and in the course of the conversation she say something along the lines of " thirty years ago today i was in labour - how does it feel to be almost 30... and then carried on about something random.

  so my question to you all is this... how do your dub family or friends acknowledge your birthday, or do they?

  Well my mom is the only dub in my family. Usually on the day before or the day after she'll call me and say something random like, "Just think, __ years ago you were born on a rainy Tuesday evening..."

  Like many here, I'm an x-JW. I was a 3rd generation witness and was raised in the "Troof". I walked away from it all in my early 20's and never looked back...
