I just realized this morning that you had already included the # printed after they changed to the single Awake - 35.5 million.
Maybe what confused me was the fact they cut the number so much - from 69 million to 35.5 million per month.
okay, so my friends are going to this weekends assembly... social gathering as i see it.
so, it goes from friday, saturday and sunday!
three days of all the same info over and over and oh the drama.. so exciting!!

But, understand they may never find it. I have been hearing the end is near since 1948. (I no longer believe it and haven't for a long time.) My parents have been hearing it much longer than that. My dad was born in 1914 & he still believes everything the WTBTS tells him to believe. I have never in my life heard him question any changes in doctrine or any new light.
Unfortunately, some people never find the right light. All we can do is drop seeds of information to them and hope something takes root.

Welcome to JWD - I had missed your earlier posts so I went back and caught up.
The info on the magazine printing is exactly what I had looked for but did not access to the magazines to see what the printing numbers were. I had been curious too about how they would change the numbers being printed.
The 34.5 million x 2 copies of Awake was the numbers before they went to one mag a month, right? How many did they print when they went to one issue a month?

Looks like this is where they got the info on the 2000 ft wall of water (in QFR.) Not sure what it has to do with the flood. This wall of water happened roughly 15,000 years ago and started in the Idaho panhandle.

my best friend chris, works as a supervisor for a construction company has some jehovies that work for him, the other day he was saying how he thinks that they take advantage of the fact that they need time off to go to meetings, and special events.
he goes on to tell me that they must leave early mondays, tuesdays, thursdays and fridays, also they never want to work weekends because of their service time.
i started laughing and told him that he should just fire them, because they are taking advantage of his kindness and that the jws do not have that many meetings.
Suggest Chris look over these court cases before he takes any action. He needs to be careful how he handles the employees so he doesn't find himself being sued by them.

I've never seen anything that says for sure how much they are paid. I believe it is assumed that they too have signed a vow of poverty and get a moderate allowance each month.
When you are thinking of pay though ask yourself what does a nice apartment in Brooklyn on the waterfront cost per month? $2000 - $4000 ? more?
PLUS - All their meals are free; their laundry services are free; their maid service is free; their transportion around the city, the country and the world is paid for them; they have to pay no bills for electricity, gas, water, telephone, internet connection. They pay no income taxes, social security taxes, medicare taxes, no real estate taxes on their free home. They don't have to pay insurance for medical, dental, vision or transportation. I assume all medical, dental, vision care is also provided.
Looks to me like they are not doing too bad. We have several people on JWD that have been in Bethel for years so maybe they can add to or correct my understanding.
